Associated Press Of Pakistan ( Pakistan's Premier NEWS Agency ) - Pak folk artists mesmerize audience in China
BEIJING, Sept 27 (APP): A group of Pakistani folk artists who were on a visit at the invitation of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles enthralled the large number of audience at the auditorium of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PEBC) Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Masood Khan said while commending their performance termed it as true reflection of Pakistanis diverse culture, a press statement said Friday.
He said that the composition and performance of artists group also conveyed the message of unity among difference segment of our society.
He pointed out that the compositions of group folk cultural troupe comprising different areas illustrated that people of Pakistan are united and living in harmony.
Ambassador Khalid on the occasion also appreciated the efforts of principal of the PECB Shagufta Saqib Ansari, the teachers and other staff for their round the clock efforts for making the Pakistan Culture and Colours programme a success.
The troupe, comprising nineteen folk artists representing all the provinces, performed in various cities of China besides at the 9th China International Folk Art Festival held in Yichang cityof Hubei province from September 15-25.
The visit of the National Performing Arts Group of Pakistan was arranged by the Chinese Federation of Literary Arts and Circles with the coordination of Ministry of National Heritage in Islamabad.
The Principal of PECB also spoke on the occasion and explained about the rich culture of Pakistan to the audience.
