For God sake people this trench is the first phase which would definitely be followed by lights and bard wires and petrolling by FC.Why are you guys arguing over a pity matter of who small the trench is and what would be required to cross it.

Invasion, occupation and annexation of Afghan border regions is what's needed. It would be better if it's done under NATO watch. Pakistan has a chance at the moment, don't waste it.

Sorry I doubt that's going to fly with NATO or without. they will simply put sanctions on us and our economy at the moment is no where I shape to withstand that.

Yes, during the monarchy in Afghanistan it was on cards, if i remember correctly a confederation or a sort of cooperative council like the one in GCC was being discussed with Iran and Afghanistan at that time and both were monarchies at that time.

As for Afghanistan after the Soviet withdrawal we could have formed a confederation or let us say a loose confederation of some sort to start with and it could have been enhanced into a more effective confederation and probably into a full federation. 25 years since the withdrawal was not a short time for something like this to happen.

It would have been better for many reasons, like for a simple example the refugees would have been rehabilitated in Afghanistan and Pakistan instead of providing assistance to Afghan refugees in Pakistan they could have provided the same inside Afghanistan. Their children being provided education with Pakistan's assistance and some 25 years down the lane situations would not have been as bad as now for the two countries in every fields, economically, socially, security wise etc..

Just imagine Imagine if we had let us say 70% less refugees inside Pakistan

We could have had a system in place like we have for Kashmir or like China has for Hong Kong.

Also imagine because of the confederation we could have got a more quick and easy access to Central Asian States some 25 years back and the benefit of it today after 25 years.

25 years is not a short time for any nation.

and people on foot wont be deterred. we jump over and climb through natural ditches wider and deeper than this one as a past time play in the mountains.
