ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has on Saturday decided to lodge a strong protest with the US over drone strike which left three people dead in one of Pakistan’s federally administered areas near its border with Afghanistan.

Pakistan on Saturday is considering summoning US ambassador to the foreign ministry and lodging a formal protest over the drone strike.

On the other hand, the rules for protocol of American personalities have also been changed and by implementing on new rules, Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir had refused to meet US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Joseph L. Votel.

Pakistan is also considering closing the Pakistan-Afghanistan border crossing for indefinite time

.
i think Pakistan will become nkorea if our govt keep on looting

.
What Pakistan should be considering is knocking out American drones if they dare to cross our border and stopping American supplies from both the air and sea route. Closing the border only causes problems for civilians and increases anger against us amongst common Afghans.

In my opinion, half correct. Too very many people in Pakistan are vested in pro-Americanism; they are influential at many levels, and will now all join together to prevent drones being shot out of the sky. Or stopping American supplies.

On the other hand, your assessment of the effects of closing the border seems accurate. No point building further blood in the neighbourhood.

Four major news rolled into a brief report :(

When you have decided to kick U.S. b@lls

Please do keep in mind that USA is Pakistan's largest single export market, and the EU is not far behind, not to mention IMF et al.

You should watch 'Live with Dr. Shahid Masood'. It's a Pakistani T.V. show and new episodes are made available on YouTube almost as soon as the show finishes. The T.V. Channle NewsOne also has a live video feed on YouTube.

Dr. Shahid Masood has been calling out Financial Terrorism for a long time. He has invented the term 'Operation Dabarhdoos' for eliminating the entire kingdom of corrupt officials. And recent developments show that the Pakistani State has started auto-correcting itself. Starting with a power judiciary, slowly yet surely, institutions are starting to rein in corruptions, starting from the very top, ex-P.M. Nawaz Sharif. Wait and watch.

Good decision there should be strict rules and protocols in place. This nonsense of meeting every Tom Dick and Harry coming from usa was started by Zia !!!!

What I do keep in mind is that Pakistan has had a bad habit of lurching from one patron to another. The establishment often doesn't understand the consequences of too definite an attachment, and the resultant consequences when the inevitable happens and it is time to part.

Closing the border means stopping U.S. land supplies as well. Isn't that 'picking the US'? There is nothing emotional about it, any self-respecting state would do the same. You need balls to be able to pull it off.

And I encounter Afghans routinely in Sydney. The love and respect they show is something to be experienced. So yes, I care about common Afghan people as my fellow Muslims and human beings.

This sounds very good and I hope nothing comes in the way. Building strong institutions which do not overwhelm the rest of the state is 90% of the struggle. The rest is relatively easy. I shall watch with great interest.

International Geopolitics 101: There are no permanent friends or foes, only the relentless pursuit of national interests.

Pakistan's tragedy is that its Establishment serves only itself, and not the country. Of course they understand what they do, but as long as it serves their own purposes, they will continue to do it.

Yes you grow balls when there is economic strength to support your decisions...Self-respect is good when your stomach is full....Closing the border doesn't mean picking US......This is just for security reasons with limited time..
