Pakistan cricketer dies after being hit by ball

Upcoming Pakistani cricketer, Zulfiqar Bhatti, died after being hit on the chest by a ball while playing for his club in a local match in Sukkur, Pakistan.

All sports activities in the city have been suspended for three days after the 22-year-old died in freak accident.

RIP to the deceased, I'm no fan of cricket, but always found it surprising that they don't at least wear a chest protector given the close proximity involved and rapidly flying balls.
