The most-wanted terrorists of the world have found succour and sustenance in Pakistan, said India's permanent representative to the United Nations at the 34th session of UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva.

ndia today slammed Pakistan for abetting cross-border terrorism at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva.

Ajit Kumar, India's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, said, "The fundamental reason for disturbances in parts of Jammu and Kashmir is cross-border terrorism aided and abetted by Pakistan".

Kumar said that Pakistan built terror outfits to target India but the same are now "devouring their own creator".

Pakistan's law minister Zahid Hamid was earlier quoted by Firstpost as saying that India's claim on the deteriorating human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir being an internal matter "is factually incorrect and legally untenable".

"Equally false is the Indian narrative that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is about terrorism," the Pakistan minister said.

WHAT INDIA SAID AND HOW IT DEBUNKED PAKISTAN'S THEORY:
  1. Members will recognise the irony of a nation that has established a well-earned reputation of being a global epicentre of terrorism.
  2. Terrorism is the grossest violation of human rights. For the last two decades, the most-wanted terrorists of the world have found succour and sustenance in Pakistan.
  3. The fundamental reason for disturbances in parts of Jammu and Kashmir is cross-border terrorism aided and abetted by Pakistan.
  4. For many years now, Pakistan carried out an intense campaign to destabilise the situation in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir by promoting infiltration and cross-border terrorism; inciting, promoting and glorifying violence and unrest in the Indian state; and raking up the matter through baseless allegations.
  5. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and the situation there is our internal matter. The Central government and democratically-elected state government have led a system-wide effort last year to restore normalcy in the state in the wake of Pakistan-supported violent unrest.
  6. The robust and mature Indian democracy proved once again that it has sufficiently strong and adequate mechanisms to redress any internal difficulties even if they are incited from outside. Normalcy has returned as 99 per cent of the students of Jammu and Kashmir have taken their high school examinations and schools have reopened.
  7. I would also like to point out that Pakistan's unwarranted references to United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions are grossly misleading as Pakistan was required to vacate the parts of the state of Jammu and Kashmir under its illegal and forced occupation.
  8. Pakistan has created terrorist outfits against India. This monster is now devouring its own creator.
  9. As the world's largest democracy with a high degree of diversity, India remains committed to the idea of a just and equitable society.

Talian. Now no one will revenege their blind brother in kashmir.
By the way we are not doing it secretly. Burhan wani is ahero for us and our prime minister said that on the same forum. Kashmir is a dispute and LOC and siachin are already war zones there. We don't help terrorists or interfere in any other country internal matters but we will do anything to get kashmir which is rightfully ours.

Geneva: The "Indian claim" that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is about terrorism is a false narrative and a "desperate attempt" to divert the attention of the international community from grave human rights violations being committed in the state, a Pakistani minister told the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Wednesday urging it to act "before it is too late".

"The Indian claim that the deteriorating human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir is an internal affair of India is factually incorrect, legally untenable and in violation of the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution," Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister for Law and Justice of Pakistan said speaking at the high-level segment of the ongoing 34th HRC session.

"Equally false is the Indian narrative that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is about terrorism.

"This is a patently desperate attempt to divert the attention of the international community from the grave human rights violations being committed by Indian forces," Hamid added.

Referring to India as an "occupying power", the Minister said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir about "the tragedy of a people being brutalised... so that they can give up their just struggle for the inherent right to self-determination".

He added that Pakistan is a "recognised party to this internationally-recognised issue" under the UN resolutions. This is contrary to the Indian government's stand that the J&K issue is an internal matter of the country and that Pakistan has "no locus standi" in the matter.

The Pakistani government, he added, will continue to extend the "unflinching political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people".

Pakistan also called on all the mechanisms of the council and the Indian community to "remain seized of the grave and systematic violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Jammu and Kashmir" and urged India to end its "oppression".

The right to self-determination is an inalienable right of the Kashmiri people, and the issue is pending final settlement through a free and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices as enunciated in numerous resolutions of the UNSC, Hamid said.

Pakistan said that it supports the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights stand that a UN human rights team should visit J&K to "independently and impartially investigate the grave human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian forces".

However, the UN human rights chief Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein had asked for access to visit both Jammu and Kashmir as well as Azad Kashmir in the 33rd session of the UNHRC held in September 2016.

"I believe an independent, impartial and international mission is now needed crucially and that it should be given a free and complete access to establish an objective assessment of the claims made by the two sides," he said at the opening session of the 33rd UNHRC.

Pakistan, in a letter to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), said that it invites the team to visit the Azad Kashmir but only in tandem with a mission to the Indian side.

"We need to act now on Jammu and Kashmir before it is too late," the Pakistani law minister Hamid said at the current session of the UNHRC.

India and Pakistan had lashed out against each other on Jammu and Kashmir, with both parties making strong statements on human rights violations in their respective territories, in the last session of the UNHRC held in September 2016.

Ridiculous. no wonder people don't take India at the UN seriously.

They spend weeks working on dramatic one-liners, while committing mass atrocities themselves.

GENEVA/NEW DELHI: Pakistan created terror outfits against India and the "monster" is now devouring its own creator, India's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva said today. Addressing the 34th Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC), Ambassador Ajit Kumar hit out at Pakistan for destabilising the situation in Jammu and Kashmir by promoting infiltration and cross-border terrorism, inciting, promoting and glorifying violence.

Asserting that terrorism is the "grossest violation of human rights", he said members will recognise the irony of a nation that has established a well-earned reputation of being a "global epicentre of terrorism holding forth on human rights". "Pakistan has created terrorist outfits against India.

This monster is now devouring its own creator," Kumar said, adding that in the last two decades, the most wanted terrorists of the world have found "succour and sustenance" in Pakistan. The fundamental reason for disturbances in parts of Jammu and Kashmir is cross-border terrorism aided and abetted by Pakistan, he said, noting that for many years now, Islamabad has been carrying out an intense campaign to destabilise the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

He further emphasised that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and the situation there is an internal matter of the country. The central government and democratically elected state government have led a system-wide effort last year to restore normalcy in the state in the wake of Pakistan-supported violent unrest, he said in the session's 'General Segment'.

India would also like to point out that Pakistan's unwarranted references to UNSC resolutions are "grossly misleading as Pakistan was required to vacate the parts of the State of J&K under its illegal and forced occupation," Kumar said.

Kumar said the robust and mature Indian democracy proved once again that it has sufficiently strong and adequate mechanisms to redress any internal difficulties even if they are incited from outside. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a USD 12 billion package which was being fast tracked.

Normalcy has returned as 99 per cent of the students of Jammu and Kashmir had taken their high school examinations and schools have reopened, he said. His remarks came on a day when schools reopened in the Kashmir Valley after about 8 months, which included the period of unrest last summer triggered by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.

The Indian Ambassador also asserted that as the world's largest democracy with a high degree of diversity, India remains committed to the idea of a just and equitable society. "To conclude, we will continue to participate actively in the work of the Council with a view to enhancing its effectiveness and efficiency," he said.

Pretty sure the main creators of 'radical islam/islamic terrorists' are chilling on top of their oil reserves and not "reaping what they're sowing"

It is pretty obvious these "terrorists" are foreign backed with intensions influenced (completely) by these foreign backers.
