What I meant is it's either or. There isn't really a apparent middle class. There's high class and low class everywhere but middle class does not make up majority in most of these nations with great income equality.

Equity means slow economy has you can see those who are equal are struggling economies...

Nationalization policy of Bhutto has made equality because all private business was taken by him which didn't allow the money holding in few hands.....

But the poor of Nigeria are far worse off than the poor of the U.S.

Hmm, quite interesting. But AFAIK, Pakistan doesn't have any "super rich" ie the number of multi-millionaires is less than other parts of the region and they have 0 billionaires, China has some 122 and India has 55.

And from what many have said there is practically no middle class in Pakistan.

Pakistan middle class is 40% (or 45% cant remember now) according to Asian Development Bank compared to India's 25%. Remember these standards are set by ADB instead of Indian politicians who think 12 rupees a day is enough to be considered above poverty line.

And Pakistan only have 1 billionaire in $, can't remember his name. So this report does not surpirce me, Pakistan has always ranked way higher compared to India when it comes to equality and it shows in real world also.

This is not how you compare countries when it comes to equality. Because even if you let say take Greece, probably poorest developed country in EU. But poor in Greece will still be better of then middle class in South Asia. India & Pakistan have similar nominal GDP per capita, so the comparison is easy.

Equality at this stage of development means that Pakistani economy is indeed in problems. Pakistan needs more billionares and business class.

I would rather see India be a rich but more unequal USA, Russia, Canada , UK or even China than be a poor but less unequal Pakistan or Nepal.

Good for Pakistan. Its however important to have some level of inequality. So that the 'have not(s)' also aspire and work hard to become 'haves'.
