RAWALPINDI: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media Turki Bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah and Military Advisor to the Minister of Defence Major General Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters here on Wednesday.

Regional security situation and matters of mutual interest came under discussion in the meeting, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al Maliky was also present in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, COAS said both the countries have a history of defence cooperation which Pakistan greatly values.

“Pakistan Army stands by Saudi Armed Forces in all fields,” the army chief was quoted as assuing the visiting dignitaries.

COAS also expressed condolences on the death of Prince Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

We need to move to towards Economic Security Framework Agreement ... this the key to our economic revival.

GCC can be our captive market.... criculation of capital and services is the key to long term Peace!

Cooperation in joint Aerospace ... is one concrete thing we can start directly..then there is Artifical Intelligence and Bio/Genetic Medicine ....

We need to come out of the Strategic Coma and Act...

Project AZM can be our joint product. Paks must learn to Think!

Hi,

There must be a tactical alliance with feet on the ground---. The GCC & pakistan must form a NATO type full time alliance with ground troops---air crafts and naval units going around to all locations on a rotational basis---.

Problem is when the fighting starts Pakistan army will be standing and the Saudi forces will be running.

Hi,

So what---that is not a big deal---. We need to strengthen our resources---that is our primary goal---.

If they stand next to us and fight---that is well and good---otherwise we look at it this way---they have made us mechanically stronger---and so we will fight for BOTH OF US---.

What's the harm in that---? We will fight for us---and we will fight for them---till they learn to fight for themselves---it is all a matter of time.

There was a time when there were not too many Sindhis in pak military---the military thought them not too brave or fighting men ( a misconception for many )---but that changed over the years---the sindhis are one of the finest fighting men---.

Just read their history---. Sometimes a brother or an ally needs to be shown the way---given the direction and training and miracles are known to have happened---.

There should be a military alliance between muslim countries likes of Pakistan KSA UAE Turkey Egypt Algeria Malaysia Indonesia Qatar Iraq and other smaller nations.
With KSA and UAE got money
Turkey and pakiatan have defence expertise
All of these can provide good military
This will make entire region strong
Work on economy free trade like European Union
Defence like nato that what we muslim countries need
Strong air force and navy is need of time
To do all this we need leaders

I am pretty sure every possible scenario will be squeezed into the plan...

I wouldn't argue on the point of Strategically inclined decisions of Saudi Forces or few comments based upon personal choice/likes/dislike or some sectarian based hate/phobia but during anti USSR Afghanistan Jihad days, Arab fought like there is no other day. Keeping the rest of same with me for a smile.
