ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that noteworthy achievements in the operation Zarb-e-Azb have created space for decisive surge against the terrorists in urban areas.
Speaking at the Defence National University, army chief said that an enhanced civil-military coordination has become necessary to achieve a successful closure over the terrorists.
"The contours of future wars are fast changing. Our enemies are sponsoring terrorism to stoke sub conventional conflicts and destabilize our country," Gen Raheel said.
He further said that Pakistan is fully determined and capable of defeating nefarious designs made against the country.
"Pakistan opposed use of proxies against other countries and will not tolerate any country to use proxies against Pakistan," he added.
Army chief said that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of partition.
"Pakistan and Kashmir are inseperable. While we wish peace and stability in the region, we want Kashmir's resolution as per aspirations of Kashmiris," he added.
