Also eher Kultur vor Onkel Sam.

Arabisch ist für offene Ohren und Herzen.

Also das kann ich nicht mehr tiefsinnig ausdrucken

“we have been cooperating with America for many years; however, Pakistan always suffered losses in its relationship with the US.”

So whose fault is that? Nobody's except Pakistan's own fault if it cannot further its own national interests in dealing with other countries such as USA.

Interestingly this relationship only suffered during democracy in Pakistan. Ayub,Zia and Musharraf's times had shown intense cooperation instead. 'The American stooge' argument won't explain this either because democratic regimes in Pakistan have always bent way lower than what the military regimes have.
Yes because a dictator will go to any extent in order to maintain its grip on power. They don't have their roots in public that's why they look towards super powers to make sure there are no engineered uprisings. Its not just Pakistan its true globally look how they kept people like Qadafi and Hussni Mumbarak in power for years and then trashed them. They were happy with Pakistan in Mush era because we were doing things how they wanted them done.

It's no different when it comes to Benazir/Zardari/Nawaz. Like I said do you really think civilian leaders have a stronger backbone when facing the U.S?

Thing is civilian leaders have to maintain their support in public. No matter how corrupt they are they can't do things unanimously without hue and cry due to opposition and other political parties. Its different with a dictator in place. Do you think if a political GOVT could have pulled the decision so easily dictators pulled? Let it be siding with USA against Russia in cold war, getting itself involved in a proxy war and then totally abandoning your supported regimes in Afghanistan. All these things happen when there were dictators in place.

Dude, remember hussain haqanni and the memogate scanadal? dawn leaks etc. That very much showed that the civilian leadership has absolutly no backbone in the face of the U.S.

LOL claiming that the public has some measure of control. Sorry but recent actions by the ruling goverment show that they don't care about the public at all. In fact the model town killings double down on that point. You don't see killings like that happening during the era of dictators.

During military regimes we also saw higher growth in GDP and such. It boils down to reliability. Civilian goverments aren't reliable at all for the public and the international community and as such things go haywire when you have dodo-heads like bhuttos or sharifs in charge.
