Turkiye and Pakistan are collaborating to develop an advanced air-to-air missile with a range exceeding 200 km.

🔹ASELSAN has commenced the production of the AGRAS-200AA seeker head for this ramjet-powered missile.

🔹 According to defense sources, this beyond-visual-range missile is set to be integrated with the JF-17, J-10C, and F-16 aircraft.

Expected to rival the European Meteor, this ramjet-powered missile could potentially surpass its capabilities in terms of performance and range

The Government of #Pakistan last night ordered the Pakistan Armed Forces, especially the Pakistan Air Force, to heighten the alert status of our air defense and radar systems so that a close early warning overwatch can be kept on Pakistan’s airspace, the airspace of the surrounding regions near our borders as well as keep an eye on any suspicious target/unidentified projectiles that may be coming into or near our surrounding/neighboring airspace. Pakistan remains cognizant of all aerial and space movements of any kind, exoatmospheric and/or not, in the regional airspace(s). Additionally, in view of the recent security situation arising in the region, the #Pakistan International Airlines management has been directed to avoid all use #Iran’s airspace, indefinitely, until the situation returns to normalcy

The PL-10 air-to-air missile used by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and other countries.The PL-10 is a short-range, infrared-guided missile developed by China's Luoyang Optoelectro Technology Development Centre

Here are some key features:
1. Range
: 20 km (12 miles)
2. Guidance: Infrared seeker
3. Warhead: High-explosive fragmentation
4. Speed: Mach 4 (around 4,800 km/h)
5. Length: 3.3 meters (10.8 feet)
6. Diameter: 0.17 meters (6.7 inches)
7. Launch platforms: JF-17 Thunder, F-7PG, and other Chinese fighter jets.

PL10 is a next generation Chinese short range AAM missile that has a range of 20km.Originally intended for Chinese 5th gen fighter jets it will be sold as an upgrade for 4th gen aircraft. Although it was rumoured that Pakistan will buy South African A Darter as its next gen short range AAM missile we are more than certain Pakistan will choose Pl10 once it becomes available for export. The missile is fitted with a multi-element IIR seeker capable of +/-90 degree off boresight angles. The missile seeker can be slaved to a helmet-mounted display (HMD). Flight is controlled by a thrust-vector controlled solid rocket motor and free-moving type control wings on the missile's tail.
