76 aircraft is no laughing matter, especially when they will be accompanied by over 100 JF-17's (with more to come).

The point is to have the ability to make the IAF bleed extensively so that it cannot afford to attack Pakistan. And this has already been accomplished.

You can't compare 18 f16 blk52 with the mlu upgrades.... They are not the same...
Even if going by your number, 76 f16 + 100 jf that's 176 4th gen jets

The Mig-29K's new EW suite is built around AESA.

The Indian version was designed with Israeli assistance and even they said it's more advanced than what's on their jets, which includes more advanced versions of the F-16 than the B50/52.

It's the latest in EW technology. The F-16V will be needed to match or exceed it.

The MiG-29Ks were delivered to India few years ago. I do not think Russia had AESA radars. Are the MiGs being upgraded ?

There is proposal to install homemade Uttam aesa radar on Migs.

The IAF Mig-29s were upgraded recently, but not with AESA radar.

Not just 18, another 45 have been upgraded to block 50 standard.

And yes they can be compared, they're both 4th gen.

You have about 240 MKI AFAIK, and all together a little over 300 4th gen aircraft.

176 are more than enough to pack quite a punch, especially when one considers the PAF has a better pilot to cockpit ratio, better serviceability, and it's pilots generally perform better.

The IAF will, at best, suffer badly if it decides to attack the PAF.
