.
?

If u didn't know the the chief conspirators with the british against ottoman was Hussein ibn Ali al-Hashimi , the sharif of mecca and NOT the ibn saud family. Though they took advantage of the political turmoil. Why r u only blaming the saudi regime. Btw won't u blame the bigot ataturk and the secular bureaucrats of the ottoman empire? The then ottoman caliph hardly had any control over the administration..

The British Government initially supported the Sharif family of Mecca, however this policy was altered rather quickly when the Hashimi clan was interested to create a new Caliphate. Therefore the Saud family was brought into the picture to systemically destroy the Islamic identity of political governance. Today the descendants of the Sharif family of Mecca rule Jordan which is a staunch ally of Israel and the Saud family of Arabia has close ties to the Zionist group. You can continue to lick the boots of the Saudi Government, however don't expect the same response from Pakistani's. The cockroaches have a significant bilateral trade with India and the last time they supported the cause for Kashmir was decades ago.

.
So Pakistan will support Assad genocide of syrian people along with iran and russia

but as expected from this govt

I respect your input about Pak economy... But here disappointed with your views.

And looks like most Comments in the Dawn OP article and perhaps the majority of Pakistanis on PDF oppose external toppling of Assad...

where are the erdogan-supporting turk members now?? :D

Syrian crisis: Pakistan against any attempt to topple Bashar al-Assad - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday stated that it is against any attempt to topple the government of Syrian President Bashar al Assad.

"Pakistan is also against foreign military intervention in Syria and fully supports the territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic,” said Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry.

It is pertinent to mention that since the start of the Syrian conflict, Pakistan had maintained a policy of strict neutrality. The statement from the foreign secretary marks a significant shift in Pakistan's policy on the ongoing Syrian crisis.

The foreign secretary was speaking at the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, which met earlier at Parliament House in Islamabad.

Pakistan’s stance on finding a peaceful solution for the Syrian crisis was also reiterated on the occasion.

    Read: A flawed alliance

Earlier, the adviser to prime minister on foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz, had told the Senate that the exclusion of some Islamic countries from the Saudi-led 34-nation anti-terror alliance will be discussed at international level.

Pakistan was named as part of the Saudi-led 34-nation anti-terror alliance meant to combat terrorism, without first getting its consent, and found itself in the crosshairs of Middle Eastern politics.

Later, after initial ambiguity, the Pakistan government confirmed its participation in a Saudi-led military alliance for ‘fighting terrorism’, but said the scope of its participation would be defined after Riyadh shared the details of the coalition it was assembling.

The Saudi government surprised many countries by announcing that it had forged a coalition for coordinating and supporting military operations against terrorism in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt and Afghanistan. The headquarters of the new Saudi-led coalition would be based in Riyadh.

Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Asim Bajwa had also stated earlier in November that Pakistan will not send its troops for any mission outside the region.

This is not the first time that Saudi Arabia has named Pakistan as part of its military alliances without Islamabad’s knowledge and consent. The Saudis earlier named Pakistan as part of the coalition that carried out operations in Yemen and a Pakistani flag was displayed at the alliance’s media centre.

Pakistan later declined to join the Yemen war.

this is good news.

what, two months ago, in the thread about the visit of the pakistan army chief to the turkish military offices, i had said that pakistan must really be supporting president bashar al-assad and his rightful government and should actually be supporting the syrian army, and not be seen even remotely supporting the terrorist-supporter, genocider and war-criminal erdogan.

just like modi does not represent india, erdogan does not represent turkey, but some pakistani members here confuse the distinction.

well if its true then Pakistan has offcially ditched middles east and USA and joined Russia/china club

from the op it seems pakistan establish is trying to balance this event with keeping relations with saudia by talking about yemen... but yemen is a failing saudi involvement... it seems that some 300 columbian ex-military mercenaries hired by saudi to wage war on yemen have refused to fight anymore.

Foreign policy is not dictated by what is right or wrong but by whatvis beneficial for us.

no, that is a pretend-cynical view of those governments who are not leaders... foreign policy for leader governments is still continuing their base ideology, whether these are the evil side ( nato ) or the side that works with common sense.

will cuba and dprk suddenly start working with nato against the syrian government??

on the evil side, will nato accept the socialist system in syria to continue or progress, without doing any more plotting to topple it??

amazing, pakistan foreign office have surprised their own country man, changing it's strategic position overnight.
don't forget pakistani masses are sympathetic to sunni saudi, supporting assad the gross murderer will have serious repercussion at home. you do understand the madrassah guys bit very well.

and taliban loves you.

KSA laws are more in line with Islam than PAK.

if that had been true i would have spit on islam long back. :)

islam really is the opposite of what tableegh jamaatis thinks.

Have a Cup of Tea.....:-)
.
Please calm down, Internationl Politics is clearly heading towards a realm of next world war and trend of forming an Alliances have increased ...this time we are not joking to the world.. oh we love you all type of shit..
BLOCKS you support (China+Russia) demands clear indication of your Loyalty, whether you support us or not???
hanging around with Sheikhs all the time for some personel gains and Satisfying their false Ego to burn Middle East down...wont lead us anywhere...Fire in middle east are knocking at our Doors....Someone has to take courage to ask them..enough is enough
please STOP yourself here.
Saudia : Stop fueling fire in ME & same goes with Iran
USA: Stop engulfing ME countries one by one
.
And you said....Alawite Pagans / Secular Pakistanis / Rafizi Iranis bla bla bla......type of mentality wont work here in International Politics ...:-) PEACE

one of luffy's pakistani friends here, malik abdullah, who seems to live in saudia, was asking two saudi members in the "whatever" thread on how to join the yemen war on behalf of the saudis... luffy should do all us a favor by joining that war, even though the columbian mercenaries currently there have told saudia that they no longer will fight and i suspect that egypt may make such noises too. :D

Toppling governments by Supplying weapons is not an art we are known for

how old are you?
ever heard of taliban? toppled the commies to rule from 96-2001. that was definitely us.

i think azad was being sarcastic.

So Pakistan will support Assad genocide of syrian people along with iran and russia

who told you that assad is conducting a genocide?? :)

who told you that nato is not conducting the genocide??

this is not the first time Pakistan took such stance .... Pakistani Ambassador to Syria also gave similar statement few month back .... following are some of the Statements by

1- Pakistani President dated October 5, 2015

2- Pakistani Ambassador to Syria dated October 6, 2015

3- Press Briefing by Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated October 8, 2015

4- Pakistani Ambassador to Syria dated December 22, 2015

This make two things very clear form Pakistani point of view about the Syrian issue:

1-Pakistani stance is consistence, just & in accordance with the undisputed principle of SOVEREIGNTY & TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY of STATE

2- We are against the Terrorism, so will continue to support the effort of International Alliance to curb this evil.

hmm, pakistan establishment was trying to balance the aspirations of some naive emotional pakistani citizens who support saudia and some nebulous thing called turkey, with doing what is right by supporting bashar al-assad and calling a spade a spade by calling nato's "rebels" as terrorists.

Lets not forget the pakistan taliban is fighting alongside the moderates who are also linked to al nusra aka Al qadeda.

exactly so.

No one likes Assad here

where is here??

if you mean pdf, you are incorrect... if you mean pakistan, you are again incorrect. :)

"Rum" resides in the Russian Federation. Muslims will make an alliance with them. Right now Russia is doing good in the ME by throwing a spanner into the evil plans of the Judeo-Christian Modern West.

i must say that "the west" is not one single political bloc... there are many westerner citizens who oppose the nato invasions of libya and syria one way or another. :)

The families of the 250+ dead syrian , victims of rape and chemical weapons would disagree with you.

here's[1] what your "libyan rebels" fighting against evil gaddafi did in 2011 and 2012, and chemical weapons were used in syria by the "rebels" and "peaceful activists" with logistical support from war-criminal and genocider erdogan.

I cannot support a tyrant

what tyrant?? :)

as a socialist, i don't entirely agree with putin but i support his promotion of the russian people's righteous stand on syria.

and as the syrians say - allah, sooriya, bashar wa bas.

You cannot compare Pakistani collateral damage to Assad's Nazi-inspired concentration camps or barrel bombings on civilian areas which have led to the death of almost 100,000 innocent civilians.

still going strong on making nato disinfo and propaganda, eh?? :D

how in the world is the article able to prove that al-assad is running concentration camps??

of all the nonsenses about the syria war, this must be the supreme nonsense.

so your latest job is spreading mossad disinfo??

I know many Westerners personally who are against NATO wars however those who have power in the West are hell bent on completing Israel's messianic mission. And those in the West who stand against this are slandered. Perhaps I should have made that distinction.

Expected and dumb stand Bashar has to go in fact should be tried in International Court

This shud not be a matter of foreign relations and finances....
Whats wrong is wrong...

Alasad massacred and tortured hundreds of thousands ....
His forces are involved in every atrocity under the sun including rape....

I m sory i cannot support this stance

In this same logic external intervention in Bangladesh was right. Pakistan Army did everything stated by you in Bangladesh and its proven.

Ashad's crime is not proven. With the same logic one canl justify external interference in Baluchistan,Kashmir, Manipur, Chechnya etc even if atrocity is not proven

Anyway, my take is no state has right to interfere in others internal matter.

I think

Operation Zarb e Azb is on going, sooner or later people like him will be targeted Allahu Alim

quite a few people have noted that zarvan supports taliban and other reactionary groups ideologically but ever since zarb-e-azb began and the pdf ban on taliban supporters plus the general growing opposition to such groups in pakistan society and since the peshawar aps attack, he has been condemning the taliban... but only in name, as his last post shows... he is just trying to preserve himself. :)

I think , its the salfist soul of you , just wishing that ?
Even when Russia , having intervened in sirya , Assad stands longer enough to prove his support within his , peoples who were fighting against a CIA + mossad + MI6+ KSA +TURKEY sponsored terrorists ?

so why is the israeli military treating fsa terrorists within israeli territory??

Israel is giving medical assistance to whoever comes near its borders.. and hell ya they don't come with holding guns while wounded. yes rebels are mixed along syrian civilians, israel knows it but what can they do?? simply don't care as long as they don't hurt israeli intrests. this opportunity also gives a chance for arabs to sympathize with Israel (at lease let israelis try to get them )
