This is a wonderful development.

D8 countries getting together and collaborating on air assets production and sharing in production (probably profit sharing too) to become more self-sufficient in building their air arsenal a la Western companies. Loving this.

More props to TUSAŞ. Hope this continues and the efforts are expanded.

:enjoy:

But, there may be common alloy part production at PAC if proper Jigs can be sourced since the Chinese equipment can be used for part beyond JF-17

I think Turkey is looking for lower labour cost for things it considers "commodity items". Same way Boeing is outsourcing parts of the Apache fuselage to India, and Dassualt have moved part of the Falcon airframe to India aswell. Aiframe manufacturing and it components have become commidity items but they still quite labour intensive.

My opinion is that this contract basically means we have officially joined KAAN project and may be ANKA III and Khililzelma also but don't want to officially call it that for some time. Until Economy improves plus Armed Forces image.

Pakistan, Azerbaijan join Turkey’s KAAN Program

The highly awaited KAAN stealth aircraft is scheduled to take to the skies for the first time in a historic development. The futuristic aircraft, which incorporates cutting-edge technology and has stealth capabilities, is the result of a collaboration between Turkey, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.

This ambitious alliance intends to revolutionize the aircraft sector while also strengthening the three countries’ strategic connections.

The KAAN stealth aircraft, a product of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), will make its maiden flight on December 27, apparently driven by artificial intelligence.

The project gained substantial support from Pakistan and Azerbaijan, who officially joined the enterprise, ushering in a new age of aviation cooperation.

The signing of a contract between the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra and Turkish Aerospace Industries has strengthened Pakistan and Turkish Aerospace Industries’ relationship.

This agreement describes the combined development of various airworthy equipment, as well as the strengthening of links and the promotion of technological know-how exchange between the two countries.

With the addition of Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the KAAN stealth aircraft project, new opportunities for shared expertise and resources have emerged.

Multiple KAAN subsystems will be manufactured in Pakistan as part of the collaboration, leading to the construction of a joint production line. This innovative approach not only decreases the overall financial load but also increases the production rate, ensuring the aircraft’s timely completion.

The KAAN stealth aircraft, with superior stealth characteristics that will allow it to operate unnoticed in enemy airspace is intended to be a game changer. The addition of AI to its already remarkable qualities elevates it to a formidable force in modern aerial warfare.

This display of AI-powered aircraft demonstrates the partnering nations’ resolve to embrace cutting-edge technology and push the boundaries of aviation.

This is news washings - Pakistan has had NO contribution to the Ka'an programme. It will be an off the shelf purchase with some local manufacturing of structural components..
