Featured Pakistan admires role of Bangali Muslim leaders in its creation

.
Many of your own countrymen disagree and this is a question you must resolve yourselves.
Five fingers in a hand are not equal.

I will only analyze from a Pakistani POV.
Should this POV of a Pakistani necessarily be negative? There are some other Pakistanis here to who consider themselves as Children of Indus.

For sure they aren't representative of your country Islamic republic of Pakistan.

There is no contradiction. A land of indus governed by islamic values with firm belief in two nation theory which an overwhelming majority approve.

Can it be said about the Republic of Bangladesh who needs to decide whether the 2 nation theory is valid or not?
I would advise Bangladesh to have an opinion poll on whether the 2 nation theory is valid or not. Problem solved.

I wish people of Bangladesh well nothing negative.

I think you are mixing real life with internet life . Is solving something so easy ? Tell me if you want a poll how many people will vote here ? 20/30?

Or you can arrange a poll for 1000 people?
If you arrenge the same pole in different govt era , the results will be different.

Tbh , online poll is the worst way to know the root of a country.

You can see some activities. You should watch the threads here related to Kashmir and later NRC/CAA issue .

You also should read the theards before modi was invited to Bangladesh to celebrate Mujib's hundred birthday.

These protestors were common folks . Most of them don't waste their time at online forums .

Those people were responsible for abolishing the quota system of govt job not people like us who are isolated from mass.

They are the real representative of Bangladesh.

I believe Bangladesh will be targeted because India needs the vital chittagong port for North eastern states as China becomes more involved. Merger with India could be and has been proposed by many Bangladeshis who are basically indian agents. But whatever happens, may happen best for your people.

Well people can propose merger with Mars too but what are the prospects?

Those Indian agents are few and far between and have been purged from Sheikh Hasina's govt. even.

You may have underestimated how independent-thinking we Bangladeshis are.

India tries to influence us, but they cannot dictate by far.

.
Why not merge with india? West bengal doesnot seem to like merging with Bangladesh because West bengal sees itself as more hindu than bengali. Its your choice.

If two nation theory is dead, so is the need for a muslim Bangladesh.
Bold Part: 1940 Lahore Resolution speaks of two Muslim State(s) that people and leaders here were not yet ready to accept during the time of Pakistan Movement and partition. Everyone here was madly happy to become a part of One State located in two wings.

Then someday came 1971 and everything changed. However, the original concept of two-nation theory remains valid with the existence of Three States of which two are majority Muslim. Below is the part of Lahore Resolution.

"That geographically contiguous units are demarcated regions which should be constituted, with such territorial readjustments as may be necessary that the areas in which the Muslims are numerically in a majority as in the North Western and Eastern Zones of (British) India should be grouped to constitute ‘independent states’ in which the constituent units should be autonomous and sovereign".

I am not a political science student but even I understand that the so-called Bengali nationalism in the context of a Bangladesh separated from other former territories in west Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and some adjusted part of Assam is like claiming, "The center of the circle lies somewhere at the circumference".

So, the Bengali nationalism is not an exact term at present. However, things may change if the separated territories join together to form a single Bengali Nation without an ingredient of religion but on the basis of language, culture and history. We can call it Bengali Nationalism. Think of historical German Concept in this context.

So, the Two Nation Theory of the Lahore Resolution remains valid with a Three State solution as it now exists as Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

What's is he talking about? (What 1974 trilateral agreement?)

It also accused Dhaka of violating the 1974 trilateral agreement between Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, the report said.
India Pakistan and bd signed an agreement, India would release POW and Pakistan would recognize BD and bd cannot ask for trial of POW and war criminals.

That's wrong on so many levels for bd, India wanted bd to stiffle pak did not want the shame.

Two nation theory is alive and well. Muslim bengal is older than pakistan and there is no chance whatsoever of us merging with hindu india....
hindus dont want merger of more muslim areas in india .

i am a nepali hindu .

A belated welcome to the forum then, never seen a Nepali on here.

Maybe we can now have a different perspective on things rather than the constant barrage of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis.

Please do frequent this subsection, we Bangladeshis want to have better relations and more trade with Nepal. Many of us are now visiting Nepal for tourism instead of India.

Cheers. See you around.
