Pakistan is not making a big issue it was just a single statement from Foreign Office and nothing else. Show me any thing other than the statement of foreign office.
All the fuss is made by media.

Now why did state department lied? What was the need of it.

Presupposing the culprit? Still, that's not really the issue. Look at the past history of digressing statements between Pakistan's FM and the U.S. State Dept. You'll find other instances of Pakistani officials making claims about conversations in contradiction to accounts of U.S. officials. Almost always the U.S. lets it go without saying anything. IMO this is because the U.S. "understands" that foreign officials may sometimes need to fib to their people about their communications with the U.S. This time the digression assumed unusual prominence in Pakistan's media and the State Dept. stuck to its guns rather than let it pass or answer follow-up inquiries with, "No comment".

Pompeo had a good call with IK. In which USA praised the new govt and every thing and USA was expecting that new govt will issue a great statement about relations and so on. USA tried to play hard ball here they added the terrorism node thinking that Pakistan will issue good statement and USA will issue a terrorism talks statement this giving the impression of new govt as a puppet of USA but this whole failed because of FO Pakistan statement.

The US tactics back fired.

This can be one of the reasons.

Your explanation might be true, but I have a slightly different view.
I think they have been doing this for quite a while, they add an extra statement that "we told them to do more and eradicate terrorism" etc. But they have never been countered before by spineless west appeasing governments. This time they did the same thing habitually and to put new government under pressure but they were countered immediately.

This makes me really proud, I know it's not a big deal but this is what sets the tone in future engagements.

As I said what I wrote is just an opinion and nothing more and there could be many reasons for it. The best way is to discuss the issue and then we can reach a conclusion of actual motive behind it. Pakistani private news media are completely independent... they played key role in bringing previous govt down...

If any thing english media is quiet left wing and considered anti govt and establishment
