BSF is a central police force, you are comparing BSF with a Special forces unit who are trained and equipped by America.

Nope... they are a paramilitary force... although they do have a seperate special forces outfit.. SOW (special operations wing).

A big LOL to all the Pakistani members who are hell bent to score some brownies in this thread!The BSF officer in the first picture isn't from the BSF cadre.On the contrary he is an IPS officer who has been deputed to the BSF.All the top rung administrative leadership in the 7 Central Armed Police Forces like the D.I.G.s,I.G. and D.G. are from the I.P.S. cadre.The rest of the middle rung leadership comes from the force cadre itself.So,it's unfair to compare the height of an administrative officer of the I.P.S. cadre with that of the Rangers.If you really want to compare then at least compare the B.S.F. cadre officers with your Pakistani Rangers

There is no comparison between the two as BSF is 240000 ~ strong force and more like a light infantry plus the budget of CAPF forces in India is around $8 billion exclusive of $40 billion defence budget
