ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has taken a serious note of the incident involving 29 Pakistanis who were returning from Afghanistan and were badly beaten en-route reportedly by Afghan forces despite having valid travel documents/passports.
The Afghan Charge d’ Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday and a strong protest was lodged, seeking an investigation into the incident and action against those responsible.
The Afghan government was also asked to take appropriate measures to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future. A similar protest was lodged by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Kabul with the Afghan government.

Afghans hate Pakistan and Pakistanis..
A change if mind from the last few years..
They cant stop fighting among each other..couldnt build a singke railway track ever, and want to blame all that on Pakistan, hence the hate.

I say investigate it further & if we can establish that such was truly the case then seal the border till the Afghan Personnel are disciplined !

Second your post.
This incident, if found true, clearly demonstrates that we have been too soft on Afghanistan and its people. We need to curb our undue sympathy towards them and think rationally.

All Afghans don't hate Pakistanis. It is the anti Pakistan government that have been placed in Afghanistan which if not dealt with proper measures will turn out to be a big headache in future. We require very honest and capable people at the top in our government that can understand strategic changes occuring and make decisions in favour and good for our country at this point of time.

I think Afghan police has lost Their Mind!! Why would they torture People even when they have Passports and visas?? Simply because they were Pakistanis.
their people dont even have passports to start with and come sit in our country like it's their 'baap's' country.

Lozz good luck with the protest.

The thing the corrupt Govt. knows & does not want to admit is current Afghan Govt. is a terrorist, a puppet Govt. & above all they hate Pakistan & the enemies of Pakistan are using this hate towards their advantage. Countries like US & India are on the top of the list & it is because of this Pakistan Army hates Afghanistan.

Just seal the ******* border. What has Afghanistan given Pakistan, except Klashnikov's, bombs, terrorists and opium? Nothing. Close the border and let them starve.

Off topic:
Are you really from Masyaf? Are you Ismaili?

Targeted attack?: Two Pakistanis slain in Afghan province

ISLAMABAD:
Gunmen shot dead a Pakistani driver and his cleaner in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, an Afghan security official said.
The shooting in the Batikot district of Nangarhar province came a day after Afghan troops thrashed nearly 30 Pakistani nationals near Kabul, prompting a strong protest from Islamabad.
The gunmen opened fire on a container truck, carrying supplies for Afghan security forces, on the Torkhan-Jalalabad Highway and escaped, district police chief Mirza Muhammad Nusrat told The Express Tribune by phone.
“Afghan security forces conducted a search operation after the incident but no arrest was made,” Nusrat added.
The bodies of the slain Pakistanis – identified as Shahpur and Arafat, residents of the Landi Kotal subdivision of Khyber Agency – were handed over to their relatives in Afghanistan.
Fellow Pakistani truckers had identified the men and informed their relatives who had contacted Afghan authorities for the repatriation of bodies.
“I and members of Afghan security agencies arrived at the scene shortly after the attack around 8:30am, and shifted the bodies to a nearby medical clinic,” Nusrat said. It was not immediately clear why the gunmen targeted the container truck from among a convoy of vehicles.
There was no immediate reaction from Pakistan’s foreign ministry.
The Afghan Embassy in Islamabad said it was shocked at the killings and said the authorities are investigating the incident.
Around 100,000 Pakistanis are currently working in Afghanistan, the embassy spokesperson, Shams Zardasht, told The Express Tribune. He said the Afghan Embassy and Consulates in Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta daily issue around 1,200 visas to Pakistani nationals and that around 2,000 Pakistanis daily cross into Afghanistan for work.
Separately, Afghan authorities in northeastern Takhar province have closed a number of health centres operated by Pakistan doctors, Afghan media reported on Sunday.
Provincial public health chief Dr Hafizullah Safi said the clinics were operating illegally. He added that the affected Pakistani doctors have been asked to submit the required documents within 10 days or else they would not be allowed to resume business.

A majority of Pakistanis regards Afghans as brothers. There is no hope if we have this kind of attitude.

Pashtuns of Pakistan must look at Pakistan and not Afghanistan. Only then we will be a nation.
