I have seen the sabre firing its six machine guns with intermittent tracer rounds in a dogfight; a beautiful and magical moment, an unforgettable experience.

ghazi52,

First of all, appreciate all the posts you publish.

For this post, a correction is in order, I think you meant Flt. Lt. Yusuf Ali Khan instead of Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Younis for this depiction. Below is the depiction for this engagement:

"....
Flt. Lt. Yusuf Ali Khan's F-86F was damaged by Indian Air Force Gnats in a one vs. several dogfight. The Indian Air Force claimed his Sabre shot down and decorated the Sqn. Ldr. Keelor with Vir Chakra when infact Yusuf managed to return back without hydraulics and an elevator. He was also claimed as the first Indian pilot to down a PAF fighter and the Gnat was termed as a 'Sabre Slayer'.

On 13th September 1965, Yusuf Ali Khan avenged this fake Sabre Slayer when he shot down a Gnat over Ferozepur in a turning dogfight, while flying the same aircraft which the Indians claimed as their first ever kill

A stunning act of daredevil brilliance was carved in the Sub-Continent’s military history wherein PAF, having established Air Superiority, went on to employ its C-130 Hercules transport aircraft for bombing missions on 16 September 1965 in support of ground forces.
