You got your chain of events all mixed up. It was none other but China which called the UNSC session to put Israel and its sponsor America in the spot. There was no sign of any ceasefire. It was even before when Biden admin, right bang in the middle of hostilities approve 800 million dollars sales of JDAMs to Israel, the same bomb which it was dropping on Gaza.

China doesn't need to convince anyone, those who are making noises about China's internal issue, their past and even during this present conflict, their conduct have left them with zero credibility among Muslim world. China did what one might say "putting them in their place".
