since 1-crossborder derailment is very common in neighboring countries
2-the operator knew very well that they are being spotted
3-Iran had no hostile intent towards pakistan

this was by all means a very nasty measure taken by Pakistan.

i hope negotiations can solve the problems at hand but i doubt this move can be just washed away.

Stupid move by Pakistan, the drone was simply monitoring the terrorists that have a safe hideout in Pakistan.

It will have very bad consequences for you and we will not stop fighting terrorists in your territory.

45 km is a very very big distance for a "border confusion". I mean people may confuse your border, or the software of the UAV may confuse the GPS and border, but it could be 3-5km not 45km

If this UAV was there for Pakistan's request/or if that UAV was participating Pak-Ir common military drill, then Pakistan is the faulty one.

If this UAV was there without permission or Pakistan's request, Iran is the faulty one.

I don't know the past of the story behind this incident.

the FLIR has a range of 200 kms. so we could easily "spy" on you if we wanted to from far far away. if S-129 comes close to the border its because of its intent to use live munitions against terrorists. not to spy.

If this is true (and so far it seems to be) then Iran is really screwing itself over!

Pakistan and Turkey are the only countries near to Iran that could really hurt them in a conflict (including major ground offensive). Why risk p1ssing off such a neighbour and make life even more difficult!?

Hopefully this was just Pak military giving Iran a small nudge to make them realise their errors and they accept it as a telling off from a friend without any further provocation.
