I was reading one of the western journalist's twitter account and he mentioned that he was not surprised that PAF F-16s beat Saudi Typhoons in Taif because he heard that PAF F-6 beaten USAF Tomcat in exercises in 2001.

I forgot the name of the man but his twitter account was mentioned by a moderator in JF-17 thread-5 about Typhoons and F-16s.

Is that true?

If yes then our PAF combat aircraft drivers r the best Drivers in the world.

Only Muradk sir knows the full documentation of this exercise. It is better to ask him. The rest of the guys you mentioned have no real time information on this. Me and him spoke about this exercise in 2010. You might find it hidden in this forum.

Well I don't know if it was 2001 or earlier but in one exercise with the USN where the F 6 played the Aggressor. it was supposed to engage a flight of F 14 Tomcat to save a P3 C. well I couldnt remember the details fully. The F 6 were playing escorts or the F 7 was playing escorts I cant remember. It was simulating an attack on the Carrier.

This is only exercise. 3nd generation aircrafts can only do dogfights either in war or exercise but 4 or 4.5 generation planes does not use in their full potential in exercise due to prevent to disclose their complex EW, datalink etc. In Red flag Exercise IAF does not use their Su-30 MKI data link & radar but Their MIG-21 beat their backbone fighter but in real war MIG-21 would be sitting duck for this fighter. In these kind of exercise Armed forces wants to gather information about other forces war tactics. So, nobody use their full potential of their war machine in these exercises.

Yes Alan Warnes, former editor of Air-forces Monthly magazine disclosed the news that during the joint Pak/Saudi exercise, Peace Hawk-1, PAF F-16s repeatedly beat Saudi Typhoons and F-15 Eagles, while some years earlier, during a multi national exercise, Antonio Eagle in Turkey, PAF F-16s took out Italian Typhoons in the all three set ups.

Reliable sources tell me the Pak AF's new F-16 MLUs consistently beat Saudi Eagles and Typhoons during manoeuvres in Taif, RSA in May.

According to my sources, PAF were asked to fly Red and Blue Air. The Saudi Typhoon CO was allegedly so hacked off he didn't go to debrief...

Sir i suppose u read my thread carefully.

This was not what i was asking.
in his same twitter account earlier he mentioned that PAF F-6 beaten USN F-14 in Exercises in 2001.
That was something i wanted members to tell me whether true or not.

Not just that but even the F-7PGs have scored on the F-18s. :)

@warnesyworld @estmsm No big deal. I'm witness to PAF F-7PGs beating USN F-18s in air to air manoeuvres in 2004.

@KMahmood28 when I was at samungli in 2002 I heard of an F-6 that beat a USN F-14 a year or so earlier in a 1v1. Now that is impressive!

There was an interview with a Pakistani pilot in Turkey for pilot exchange programme it was a good interview does anybody have it?

Yes yes yes that was the exact twitter feed i was talking about.

Please shed some more light in these exercises.

yes it was shared here too.

In that interview he talked about Restrictions US has imposed on F-16C/D in Pakistan. And how US is monitoring the TuAF F16s.
