PAF Designed to defeat

. . . . . .
So if the USAF decides to keep its aircraft in steel shelters, they are prepared for defeat?
Please use better logic than 2 cent sensationalist posts.

That's care right thurrrrr

LOL. in War, the planes will be in Air, not in shelters waiting to get bombed.
That isnt the thing. Both sides have adequate hardened shelters in place. Except now both sides also have penetrator bombs.

The Iraqis had much more complex hardneded shelters designed to save aircraft from nuclear strikes; in Gulf war one their bunkers and shelters were blown to bits.

Today's defence against airstrikes is simply keeping your forces on the move and dispersed. Having them in so many locations and always on the move that the enemy simply has not enough time to get all of them without comitting an excess of resources that do not always guarantee success.

Men in blue ...

keep planes without proper hangers,

PAF designed FOR defeat.

Your veteran pilots (those who lived to see another day after encounters with men in blue) would grudgingly but surely disagree with you on that one :meeting:

Right - like indian war planes conveniently parked on the tarmac in rows @ Pathankot in 1965. (Or Kalaikunda)

Pathankot seems to become a symbol of humiliation for indian time and time again

Bro that was in 1965 when both Airforces didn't even have proper infrastructure in place. Todays scenario is totally different don't you think?

How an Aircraft can survive Nuclear radiation under the shelters? Or you're talking about those underground/under mountain bases which Sweden & some other countries have?

Aircraft can survive to an extent, and while irradiated; some sort of flight operations may be doable.
But realistically, the idea is to save assets to use in the day after.

Well only the plane could survive. I'm pretty sure, in that environment, pilot won't be able to carry out any Operations because of sickness. Do we even have any radioactive protection suits for pilots for Emergency purposes?

There are three shelters in rahim yar khan . I think for war may be . If dispersion of assets is the strategy .
