PAC/JF-17 - DxB Air Show 2019

th

Barq missile is 45 kgs and Super mushshak can only carry 2 of them.

Wouldn't it be better to integrate something like this that only weighs 10 kgs? It would give way more ammunition, and allow for precision strikes in a much more capable manner than dropping an ATGM on it. It could probably carry 8 of these.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa)
Why was Mushshak armed in the first place.

Mashaq armed version can carry 300 Kg max on 4 pylons, should be able to carry 4 50kg missiles??

Overkill for COIN ops where you don't want civilian casualties as I said, and they don't need rocket motors if launched from air.

Lets say there is a HVT inside of a house, and there are innocents outside the house. Are you going to be launching a 20 kg warhead on it and kill everyone? Same concept as BGM-176 Griffin.

So is it most likely that PAC will be getting TOT for AESA radar from China?
I'm probably wrong, but...

I don't think AvRID's AESA radar project is ToT in the sense of the PAF buying an off-the-shelf radar and making it at home (which is not possible beyond assembly since we don't have a semiconductor industry for the TRMs).

I think the AvRID project is an in-between an import and a localized product. So, they're probably buying the TRMs from somewhere else (e.g., China), but are doing the integration work involved with making a radar system locally.

This way, they get a serviceable radar, but with the ability to choose what weapons they can integrate to it (as well as add the features, capabilities, etc the PAF wants). Unless PAC is cooking a secret fabtech facility in the back, this isn't 100% indigenous (or even mostly indigenous), but it'll get the job done, practically speaking.

IIRC in such scenarios, the PAF would leave the house alone. I guess if the HVT is valuable enough, the Army might send in SOF to flush them out, or besiege the place and wait.

Isn't the US focusing on smaller missiles, with smaller warheads to minimized collateral.

Oh Avrid? I will tell you guys when the time is appropriate.

This is Brazilian origin. AEQ and Mectron developed this REK.
Link, or evidence pls.
This?
Different design overall, and unless you give me proof you are wrong.

Don’t know about you guys, but the Officer, saluting at 0:24 looks soo much like Adrien Brody (Jack In King Kong 2005)

@Falcon26 i also believe that you might be referring to the banner which showcases “Missile options for Thunder” as the main course but the pic is unclear
