The step was taken to ONLY facilitate women and not men, that's the gist of the discussion here. If it helped men improved their grades further then that is irrelevant, since the move wasn't aimed at them. It's a policy crafted along gender bias and it's quite clear at that.

Actually giving more time helps improving results big time, especially in a subject like match where solving equations may not be a hard task but managing time is.

Maybe this is off-topic for this thread but want to say that the male brain is generally better at abstract thought than the female brain, which means that topics like computer science have more men than women.

Of course, this does not hold true for places like India where computer science is not studied for interest but more for better job prospects.
