On the occasion of foundation day of Hindu Samhati over 1 lakh, Hindus gathered at Kolkata to protest against increasing jihadist threat to West Bengal. Hindu Samhati is a Hindu organization founded in 2008 and working on ground level in West Bengal and other north-eastern states which are facing major demographic, cultural and social threats from Bangladeshi migrants.

These migrants are the cause of increasing crime rates in Assam and West Bengal and are snatching away the resources of native people.

In recent years there is a tremendous growth of Radical Islam in the Eastern part of India. There has been a series of attacks on the Hindu community. According to Tapan Ghosh, President and Founder of Hindu Samhati, “In 2016 attack against the Hindu community started with the burning of the Kaliachak Police Station of Malda by the Islamic Radicals (on 3rd of January). It ended with the misery of the Hindus in Dhulagarh in Howrah (on 14th December). In between these two incidents, Hindus of Bengal had to witness countless episodes of gruesome attacks and Jihadi atrocities throughout this year. Kaligram, Ramganj, Ilambazar, Tufanganz, Chopra, Naihati, Kharagpur, Shankrail, Mallarpur, Baduria, Mohammadbazar, Barchandghar, Jalangee, Toltoli and many more places observed similar occurrences. The sheer volumes of these events, the limitless atrocities, and unparalleled aggression have become the eye-openers for the Hindus. The persecuted people in Eastern India are seeing the organization as their only hope”.

Devdutta Maji, Vice President of the organization said, “Hindu Samhati is about to complete its 9th year. It will be ten years old next February 14. It was precisely this tenth year (10 years 8 months) when our Lord Shri Krishna left for Mathura after concluding the Vrindaban chapter of his mortal life. We do not consider this kind of events as only a casual affair in His life; rather we regard these as one of the integral parts of His course of life. As Arjunas to Krishna, we have all taken solemn vow to stop the Islamists in their march. Based on our 1400 years of Hindu resistance and sacrifice against the Islamists, we have founded Hindu Samhati. Donald Trump’s elevation to President and the recognition in America and the Western World regarding the threats posed by the Islamists to Humanity vindicates what we have been saying for the last 9 years on behalf of Hindu Samhati. We appeal to world leaders to come together and wipe out the menace once and for all.

On the 14th of February every year, Hindu Samhati analyses previous year’s efforts and resolves for the upcoming year. This day has been transformed into a Day of Hindu Resistance and Hindu Resolve. People from Bharat and throughout the world arrive on this day to bless the Hindu Samhati volunteers. This mammoth rally is a tribute to the dedication of our volunteers on ground”.

Mamata Bannerjee is polarising Bengal like never before. This won't end well for either her or the state.

Her jihadi love will harm us all.

The way real Jihadis are burning villages of Hindus in Bengal such revolts are obvious.

Yep, this was bound to happen. There is a very hardcore Trump support in India. Probably the only country on the planet where people carry Trump banners and cheer him on.

From Pakistan's perspective this is good news. These images won't go well with the rest of the world.

There is a constant tirade against US president DonaldTrump in the media worldwide. How will this affect his functioning as US president? What would you advise Trump in India fs en-lightened self-interest?

Whatever advice I may give is always very personal advice; a doctor and a guru only give personal advice! Having said that, I would say any head of state cannot be bullied by the press, nor can he ignore the voice of the media. Often, a revolutionary idea, or something different, is criticised by the public, but at the same time one needs to respect the sentiments of the public as well. It 's a very tough job for a head of state, that too when someone is new in the system.

Any head of state cannot have only yes men around him; he must have honest advisors. He needs to keep disruptive people also in his team because they can see the point from a very different angle so they enrich one 's course of action. Hence a leader like Trump needs to include the dissenters among his advisors, and take into account counterpoints as well.

What do you think ought to be Trump's approach to the US-India relationship?

India is the largest democracy and America the oldest, so naturally, they can be good partners and the relationship needs to be strengthened by easing many regulations between the countries.

I would not like to comment on Trump's seven-nation ban since a federal judge has already ruled on that. But now there is a quota system for all countries, for India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and so on but all the quotas (to grant visa) are the same. This requires some rethinking — perhaps the quota system can be decided on merit and the population.

These are some of the things that could bring us closer. Cultural and economic ties are important to enable greater cooperation between countries.

What if the trade incudes sale of arms? Whether US sells arms to India or India is a wiling buyer, what do you think would be the right app-roach to the arms business?

I am always for disarmament, whichever country on the planet we are talking about. I would suggest, that countries should spend at least a fraction — say 1or 2% — of defence spending on peace education. Today, America needs peace education very badly.

Depression is taking over the country. While economic interests need to be considered, you also have to consider the happiness index of a country. We (Art of Living) have a project called 'Welcome Home Troops', via our Association for Human Values. We have so far trained 1,500 troops who have returned from the Iraq war, and rehabilitated them. We made a movie called 'Almost Sunrise' that tells the story of a soldier, a war veteran — what his life was post war and how he transformed after AOL programmes. You know, seven soldiers are committing suicide in America every day. This is a big blot on America — that people who defend their country commit suicide. This is something America needs to look into and we hope comto work with them. And there has to be some kind of gun regulation, and awareness created on the need to be peaceful.

Another thing: America's infrastructure has taken a big beating in the recent past. I am sure President Trump will take positive steps to deal with this. Young people need to be encouraged to get involved more.

Trump would do well to take everyone along - whether youth, women, LGBT community, or other ethnic groups. Because India and America have the unique advantage of multiculturalism and pluralism, mutlti-ethnicities so it is important to take along all sections of people to make America vibrant and great. No country can be great if even a small minority in the country feels neglected. So Trump needs to build confidence.

Globally and in America, there is concern about Trump's policies.

Fears are unfounded because any head of state will always think of everyone, once they get into that seat. They will care of the whole population. But sometimes that idea may not percolate to the ground. I would recommend to Trump to pay heed to the words of Gorakhnath: "Speak not in haste (without understanding), walk not in haste (without knowing the path). Take slow cautious steps (in the path of yoga). Let not pride overtake you. Lead a simple life (free of passions), says Goraknath."

Tranquility of mind is absolutely essential for making decisions that would bring long-term happiness to people. I would say to Trump, take a few moments before taking decisions; please set apart an introspective moment of silence.

Hindus of India protesting against Muslims in India

Nope

Hindu Samhati is a Hindu organization founded in 2008 and working on ground level in West Bengal and other north-eastern states which are facing major demographic, cultural and social threats from Bangladeshi migrants.

They are protesting against the illegal Bangladeshi migrants.

nothing to do with Indian Muslims.

why tag Trump?

Common issue of illegal migration. may be that is the reason.

Well maybe because modi can't exterminate them all
Have you been able to exterminate illegal Afghans from your soil? You claim that they are terrorizing your peaceful country..Last day they killed your police officers & then APS..
Same context but different reaction.Cause here they are Hindu ryt?
