What's new

Our sun will explode before you can visit every planet in No Man's Sky

By that time we will have either gone extinct..or evolved into higher beings..colonized other solar systems..so no need for sun.

What does a game matter anyways? Reality is more important.

Only the nations that are capable of rocketry.

So Africa and most of middle east bye bye.

Abandoning Africans would be pretty much retarded, they have the highest genetic diversity they would be the first ones on the ship.

How many of 'us'?

Depends on whether or not we develop ways for humans to survive suspended animation. Only 10,000 are needed to prevent inbreeding, likely more possibly 50,000 per ship not including those keeping the ship working, likely 60,000 IMO.

Another way is that we could just store sperm and eggs on the ship, once ship arrives to it's destination it would use artificial insemination to populate the planet. Robots would be the surrogate parents.

PS: the sun looses mass but gains density, but overall the mass remains mostly the same.

That's exactly why the team is having to send bots to take and return photos of the game's many, many far-flung worlds.
Even if you send bots to a location 50 light years away, just to send and receive one signal to earth would take more than 50 years. That makes interstellar or even intra-stellar travel impractical y today's standards. The distances are huge!
We would have to colonize a planet nearby even if it not the best-suited planet. Terra-forming would be more practical.

it not loosing actually, it gaining, through iron.
Its loosing Hydrogen, it's fuel.
