Options for India

O really?
hes already taken in custody under MPO?

I think he will be taken in custody again by Pakistani Establishment

Also if we are so evil and our evil "establishment" controls judiciary... than i wonder why that red mosque son of a bitch and other assholes were freed by the courts and still encourage and incite violence against the "establishment" and the state itself? afterall we control the judiciary.

That was more like a political settlement to keep the temperament down because of the events in neighboring Afghanistan and NWFP.

Red Mosque events occurred that time when the war in Afghanistan was at its heights . Red Mosque was a place of importance for Pakistani military during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Pak Red Mosque cleric calls anti-Taliban fight 'un-Islamic' | Zee News

Islamabad: The hardline cleric of Pakistan's infamous Red Mosque here on Friday stoked fresh controversy by calling the military offensive against Taliban militants in the North Waziristan region "un-Islamic".

Abdul Aziz, who survived a 2007 military operation against militants hiding in the mosque when he was caught trying to escape wearing a burqa, said he can prove that the military operation was against the teachings of Islam.

"This operation in the North Waziristan is un-Islamic," Aziz said.

"I can debate this issue...Call scholars from abroad -- from India and Bangladesh -- and I will prove that this operation is un-Islamic," he said.

Lakhvi booked under MPO; to remain in jail

Islamabad, Dec 19, 2014, (PTI) :

Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi will remain in jail for at least three more months with Pakistani authorities today slapping stringent provisions under public security against the key accused in the 2008 Mumbai attack, a day after a court gave him bail sparking outrage in India.

Lakhvi, 54, was detained for three months under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

"Lakhvi was to be freed from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi today morning but the government detained him there for three months under the 16 MPO," Prosecution chief Chaudhry Azhar told PTI, adding the Pakistan government had also informed India about this.

Lakhvi was granted bail by Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court yesterday due to lack of evidence against him.

The order of detention was handed over to Adiala Jail superintendent before Lakhvi's counsel could show his bail order to jail authorities.

The prosecution chief further said that the government had decided in principle to
challenge the trial court's decision in the high court.

"We have prepared an appeal against the ATC order and file it on coming Monday," he said.

The decision to release Lakhvi has drawn sharp criticism from India and surprised many for its timing, just days after Taliban massacred 148 people, mostly schoolchildren, in Peshawar.

"The Nawaz Sharif government also got upset over the ATC decision as it had to face criticism from India on its policy on war on terror at the time when it is making its strong resolve to crush terror networks from its soil," a source in interior ministry said.

He said the government had to take a prompt decision to detain Lakhvi before he was released from jail to avoid it from further embarrassment.

Lakhvi was granted bail a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif pledged to announce a "national plan" to tackle terrorism within a week, saying "this entire region" should be cleaned of terrorism.

"The matter was brought to the notice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who immediately ordered detention of Lakhvi," the source said.

The ATC Islamabad decision had surprised the prosecution lawyers who said still 15 or so witnesses were to be produced against the seven accused of the Mumbai terror attacks including Lakhvi before it granted him bail.

Since the trial began in 2009, the prosecution had produced 46 witnesses.

Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum have been charged with planning, financing and executing the the Mumbai attacks on November 26, 2008 that left 166 people dead

Always crying like a little girl. Just do whatever needs to be done and stop whining. Don't go crying in front of USA when another terror attack happens.

So tell me what you will do in this situation?...Anyway..You must be sad that your friend Talibanis who killed those little kids are butchered by the Pak army...

these fuckers arent going to be let go so you guys can clam down

Hope there will be change within Pakistani establishment and the guilty will be punished.

Now capital punishment is again restarted in Pakistan and today 2 extremists were hanged. Wil those who were behind the Parliament will be punished ?

Two militants executed - The Hindu
Aqeel, alias Dr. Usman, was captured alive during the attack at Rawalpindi’s Army General Headquarters in 2009 and sentenced to death, while Arshad Mehmood, also known as Mehrban, was convicted for an assassination attempt on Musharraf.

There is strong evidence against Lakhvi provided by top Indian agencies, like the Intelligence Bureau and the National Investigation Agency.

Pakistan ignored hard Indian evidence against Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi

Among some of the crucial evidence provided by India were the intercepts of a satellite telephone conversation between Lakhvi and the terrorists who carried out the Mumbai attack. It is believed that Lakhvi being the main planner was giving most of the directions to the terrorists.

like i said if he is guilty he will be killed.Killing some scum is better for us aswell

As Pakistan has given a strong signal to India after giving bail to Lakavi that her policies will remain the same vis a vis India. Pakistan can't afford to open another front in Punjab and Azad Kashmir. PML N has strong associations with militant groups. Imran Khan is a known Taliban supporter. Civil society of Pakistan is at weakest. They can't exert any pressure on establishment. In short, we should not expect any help from Pakistan. Other countries like US and others also not of much help. They have their limits. So would like to discuss the options for India politically, military and diplomatic. My suggestions
1. we should cooperate with Israel to make our internal security impenetrable (which is very very difficult).
2. Give a free hand to RAW to neutralize anti Indian assets of ISI.
3. Contingency plans in case of any attack on Indian soil. as we can't afford to have full fledged war with Pakistan because of nukes.

No.1 is a work in progress for a long time, it is difficult to achieve but we are trying.
No.2 is also being done for those assets inside India, IB, NIA, Police, all are for that, doing this inside Pakistan is futile and will make us a terrorist country too. (Futile because these terrorists are easy to replace, they are just executioners, not brains).
No. 3 Our military definitely has plans, all militaries have such plans.
And you should not be so obnoxious till the next attack happens in India. :)

Give Pakistan some time. Pakistan too want to get rid of these monsters. BTW Lakhvi is still under arrest.

Get rid of what? Indian assets? Who will fight the Kashmir war then? Or will they suddenly quit it after decades of efforts? Just wait for some time, everything will 'normalize' like before, you guys are just expecting too much and making yourselves potential victims of another rude shock. Lakhvi's release was just a bad timing that was corrected.

Firstly 1,2 & 3 and maybe 4,5,6& 7 must surely be in place.

However the thing to note is that wars ( if thats being suggested) are not the answers to everything .

One hopes that this very unfortunate & inexcusable event in Pak would have ( will) shaken the Pak society who for once accepts the fact that their enemies are those who are closest to them & live among them.

This acceptance and not denial alone will throw up answers from within Pakistan and these in turn shall be the solutions India & the world is looking for.

I couldn't get it.
