Open Intervention in Bangladesh?

Dr K.M.A Malik: Bangladeshi Patriots must say ‘NO’ to any suggestions of ‘help’ from India to fight ‘terrorism’ or to ‘stabilise’ the country, because much of the current ills and political discord is the result of Indian machinations and its partisan support to a given political party and its allies and its lack of respect to the sovereign national interests of Bangladesh. It has already imposed an unelected puppet regime on the people of Bangladesh in order to extract one-sided benefits. All major decisions in Dhaka are now taken by the Indian Embassy or with its approval.
The current ‘anti-Jongi’ campaign (more than 8000 arrests within 3 days) is a ploy to eliminate ALL opposition to the puppet regime. India is preparing the ground for direct military intervention in case the already subservient state organs including the local security forces fail to subdue the growing protests and resistance to the puppet regime and Indian hegemony. People like Rana Dasgupta and Pijush Chakravarty who seek Indian intervention to ‘save’ the Hindu Community in Bangladesh are wrong or they have other agenda, because the current Indian government believes in ‘Akhand Bharat’, denying the sovereign existence of other states in the region, and based on Hindu supremacy. The BJP government led by Mr. Modi has been elected democratically, but BJP is essentially a Hindu fundamentalist party with the neo-fascist RSS as its support base and political guide. The meteoric rise of Mr. Modi to fame and political power is primarily due to his anti-Muslim stand in the infamous Gujareti Massacre of Muslims (2002). The BJP leaders are inherently communal, anti-Muslim and anti-Bangladesh and they can not and will not ‘save’ the Hindu community in Bangladesh, but they will simply ‘use’ the issue of Hindu ‘repression’ for their own political purpose internally and for extending their hegemonic ambitions in the neighbourhood.
For the last ten years, the Indian hegemonists have succeeded in gradually reducing Bangladesh into a vassal state. Sadly most of our ruling elites have failed to understand the implications of Indian ‘friendship’ or acted as their collaborators for a ‘few dollars more’.

With all roads for peaceful dissent and political change in Bangladesh closed by the puppet Hasina-Inu regime, it is not unexpected that that some people would become rebellious and may even resort to non-peaceful means to change the regime. Such a rebellion would also be anti-Indian in nature unless India itself effects a ‘regime change’ in Dhaka.
A brutal regime supported by India may extend its life by few months or years but it can not and will not last for ever. The people of Bangladesh will continue their struggles to defeat the evil regime and its foreign sponsors. Of course, it would be wrong to underestimate the joint forces of Hasina-India axis. They are not going to loosen their grip on Bangladesh without a fight and without further bloodshed.
Small ‘quantitative’ changes in Bangladesh political scene are about to lead to a ‘qualitative’ change. ‘Covert’ intervention may be accompanied by ‘overt’ intervention in not so distant future!
