How after shooting it down first and then painting the colours of the original operator can be tampering, as for credibility, it hits you in the face when the Indian authorities admit to it's loss.

Common sense - Tampering evidence is adding altering or subtracting after collecting the evidence and not tell anyone. In this case India accepted but it will bite you when there is some dispute and whole world knows all can tamper evidence.
