The F-15J is in fact the early model of the F-15 family, it is just a 30 years old aircraft.

Time to get the retirement, but JASDF really desperately needs the air supremacy fighter like F-22, not something to against the ground targets like F-35.

Their F-15s can still be replaced with F-35s. The US would be doing the same.

F22 is impossible, cost of re-opening production is extremely high, cost per plane is also really high, and too much effort and technology are required to service and maintain them.

I think John Macain called them hangar queens because US air force can't afford to fly them.

F-22s won't be exported to any country.

It doesn't matter how butt-hurt the Japanese are.
