Iraq imports more from Turkey then from Iran, and that is KRG excluded. On the other hand Iraq and the UAE have good economic relations.
So this entire story of Iraq being a client state of Iran is based on what ? its already proven wrong by the economic facts.
I do not know about Syria, Hezbollah however needs Iran to survive, though Irq does not need them for any field, not in the past neither as of today.
2nd we should stay neutral and uninvolved in this, we are in the middle between these countries, nevertheless all they need to focus on is build the defence forces to keep others from interfence and influence in the country.
What is this peace keeping force going to do anyway.
In Syria they would have to choose sides or stay out of it completely.
In Iraq what are they going to do ?.. theres nothing for them to do besides standing @ checkpoints which is not needed.
In Afghanistan they can do the work that the UAE troops are doing ( humanitarian ), this could be the only good 1 << + securing the Lebanse borders from Syrian spillover.
It will do peace keeping, stop any sides from fighting. They will not choose sides, they will defend themselves if they are attacked. It will be up to warring sides to accept the peace established by the peace keeping forces. Once fighting is stopped and peace is established, elections will be held to create a new democratic govt. under their authority and security presence. They will remain as long as state security establishments like local army, policy force etc. can take control of the security of the country.
Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan have somewhat functioning govt., when any of these countries go into civil war stage with complete break down of the state, only then OICPKF will be deployed.
Sorry for stating the unvarnished truth, what it is, is what it is. I do not blame people for not caring. After all Muslims have bothered all major communities of the world, so it is only natural.
The question still demands answers? Whom will OIC force fight in Syria/? Whom will it fight in Somalia? In somalia rebels demand strict islamic law, that they are fighting a ligitimate govt. On whom side it will fight?
In Lebanon hizbollah or govt?
in Afghanistan on the side of taliban or govt?
Like UN peacekeepers, but I have no trust in it that they really would be neutral, no country will trust them to enter, we prefer the UN which already is unfair and corrupt.
Since the world is not doing anything to stop the fighting and killing, then the world will have no choice but to accept OICPKF legitimacy, which has a membership of 57 countries. If Iran is expelled, it will still have membership of 56 countries. At least 50 countries will approve this proposal.
Your suggesting something that the syrian regime allegedly suggests aswell, UN elections, what is the point of OICPKF if they offer UN elections, all that has to be done is the FSA accept it.
I think the immediate focus will be Syria and then after an initial success, they will look at other possible deployments to stop any ongoing conflict where large numbers are getting killed.
OICPKF will fight anyone that resists its deployment and taking over of the reign of the country - Asad forces, AQ affiliated extremists etc., any one who attacks them.
I do hope that u know that how ana allowed hamid karzai to come to power. Also I forgot the name of the Iraqi politician heads a political party now, shia by believes, heard him on bbc claiming that noori is in no position tomake any decisions on his own. And does all that is told to him from tehran. That is just one example. We after all are not blind, and unlike u iranians, dont even have a cult following where to us the word of khumenai is the word of god. How many Sunnis have u seen heading to Syria after the fatwas of Jihad from some corners.
Election cannot be done when there is fighting going on and people are getting killed. First peace has to be established by a superior force that has legitimacy in the world's eye. UN or anybody else is not coming in, so OICPKF is a proposed force that will do this job.
This whole peace keeping story will not work in Muslim countries, because they can barely do something together.look at OIC, it's function is as useful as a potato. Besides, I don't think any country will accept such force in its soil.or look ate UN peace keepers as example, they usually fail in all of their missions to sustain a permanent peace.
Your OICPKF would start shooting each other long before they reach Syria
On a serious note, your proposal would make sense in a perfect world - but since this one isn't perfect, countries have interests, and in Syria some countries have the interest to see Assad dead, some don't. All would just pick sides.
Btw, ONU has the same issue - in Yugoslavia everyone and their dog picked sides
Yet after all these picking sides, Yugoslavia is a success story and so will OICPKF.
You don't know much about this area
First of all the USA needed to step in to make them finally stop, it wasn't ONU (in this case it was the Serbs, since they where on the receiving end)
Secondly, Kosovo still remains an unresolved issue. If you think that everyone will just call it a day and quit, you are sadly mistaken. It's just a pause
