Not what you expect...North Iran

There are two northern provinces in Iran at the shores of world's largest lake called Caspian Sea (it is called a sea due to its size)..Cities in these two provinces are popular as summer vacation spots and many wealthy Iranian have summer homes in there...Take a look..you will be surprised..second video is a drones shot of very unique homes .

thanks for sharing. back in mid 80s I went to Shiraz and Tehran and enjoyed the two unique cities.
these videos do show affluent neighborhood its refreshing to see that there re no political slogans and banners anywhere which become overbearing for a person like me,.

That is good to hear. I notice Pakistanis who are a bit older have positive views on Iran. The younger generation are somewhat more pro Saudi or are neutral.

Young Pakistanis definitely aren't pro Arabs. They are mostly neutral when it comes to Iran and they love Turkey a lot.

Same is true if you replace Pakistanis & Iran to Iranians and Pakistan.

OT : Northern Iran is beautiful, Tehran is also beauty except Traffic.

I agree...I also lived and worked for two years in Shiraz...It is a city of Roses and poets...Hope you had a chance to go and see the Persepolis...

It's good to know that you've been to Iran. You're always welcome to visit Iran again.
The regions shown here are from the north of Iran near the Caspian Sea.

Unfortunately, there are tens of towns like this in the north. Maybe even hundreds. They do look like affluent neighborhoods, but they're fast becoming the norm unfortunately and it is hurting Iran's agriculture. The northerners prefer to sell their lands to tourists from other parts of Iran, particularly people from Tehran, instead of investing in agriculture. Even agricultural lands are sold to tourists. Many of our traditional agricultural products from the northern provinces haven't grown much in the market for decades and now we have to import them from foreign countries. So, this style of living does have a cost for our economy and natural resources unfortunately.

I still consider myself young so we are Pro Pakistan first and then we are Pro whoever is fair and not hostile towards us. Personally speaking I had been a strong advocate that Iran being our first door neighbour is more important to us than anyone else.

I still remember there was a time when we use to have annual irani industrial exhibitions and I used to get a lot of free goodies , good were those times

Well, obviously as you know it depends on many factors but most of the villas in that neighborhood cost over $200K, some of them cost more than $1M.

There are plenty of towns like this in the north.

That is cheap man...an average house in Ottawa is now above $500 k ..Montreal is 400-500...and Toronto close to 1 million..

I live in Canada..I have 2.5 feet of snow outside and temp tonite is -20 degrees celsius.. ..lol , do U like to visit!!.

Well, it's still a lot of money for people inside Iran. You could find cheaper ones too, or buy lands and build your own villas or town. Of course, there are properties that are well over $5M as well. Most of them are larger than a 1000 square meters.
