I have read in a report that, for every 100 Rupees South India give to the Center as a tax money, it get only 46 Rupees in return as a development expenditure, while Uttar Pradesh get 173 Rupees for every 100 Rupees it contribute. Bihar, Rajasthan and other northern states also has same story. They contribute less but get subsidized by the South Indian's tax money. This is a massive exploitation of the hard working, educated and disciplined South Indians for the benefit of the backward Hindiwalas. It is like the British colonialism all over again for the South.

Is that not the basic premise of an equitable taxation regime. Besides, India is still socialist to the core.

The weightage of population in the horizontal devolution of the proceeds from the tax pool has been continuously decreased by each succeeding Finance Commissions. And the population baseline too has been left untouched for the last 40 or so years. There is absolutely no incentive for the states to increase their population in the hope of getting more proceeds out of the tax revenue.

Once we drive those deadweights out of our northeast to their rightful place burden on the public exchequer will drastically reduce and I am sure WB will follow suit.

The Indian government has forced western and southern states to reduce their birth rates below replacement rates. While encouraging North India to maintain high fertility rates.

Their agenda is simple make western and southern Indians a minority by replacing them with North Indians.

Unlike North Indians they preserved their language and culture.
