What's new

No visa ban on Pakistanis by Kuwait: Ambassador

Ban is for newer visas and its not new. I see many people from my area who are working in Kuwait and they are having business there. They visit Pakistan frequently and then go back to Kuwait again.

PS I a against these strict rules which Kuwait applies to Pakistanis.

Well, Trumps ban is also on new visas. The ones who are already living in USA and are legal can go anywhere and return to US.

.
On topic, what are the real reasons behind the visa ban? did they found any unwanted elements which crossed borders and created unlawful activities and they found to be from Pakistan?

@faithfulguy look what is happening? do you care to reply here? or still jumping on PDF India thread?

KARACHI: Pakistan’s ambassador in Kuwait on Wednesday said that Kuwait hasn’t placed a visa ban on Pakistani nationals.

Ghulam Dastagir said that news on social media about the ban are baseless, further adding that same news had sprung up in 2011.

Earlier, a newspaper claimed that Kuwait has banned nationals from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It claimed that the ban included on tourism, visit and trade visas as well as visas sponsored by spouses.

Trump's ban does not exempt holders of existing visas. An Iranian having a valid multiple entry visa who went back to Iran last week would not be allowed to return to the US - students from these countries who went back are now stuck in their home countries. Only permanent residents (green-card holders) are exempted.

We should close their Embassy and throw their ambassador out of Pakistan ..

Let me clarify BAN/Not Allowed was slapped in 2009.. .. but recently they have lifted few restriction....their is a partial VISA BAN. Pakistanis working in Public Sector are allowed to bring in Families, Pakistani's working in Private Sector with good salary are also given Family VISA, There is a work visa ban, for now what we know visa for Dr's, Teachers & Embassy Staff is open.... furthermore Pakistani's working in GCC are also not allowed to enter Kuwait, even if they have valid GCC residency.... Thats the ground reality .....

We should close their Embassy and throw their ambassador out of Pakistan ..

When has Pakistan ever stood up to a Gulf state country? Millions of Pakistan migrants work there and give Pakistan much need remittances to keep the country economically afloat. The Gulf states know this and will behave accordingly.

we are talking about Kuwait , not GCC as a whole .

I hope this rounds up the misunderstanding especially those ANTI Arabs members who took the opportunity to show their hate...
When these arabs treat you like garbage, it's not hard to show your hate.

Yes, but it can be applicable to all. Today, it's Kuwait, tomorrow it may be Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, and/or Saudi Arabia.

and i will be very happy if that happen .. they can banned Pakistani and so we can banned them .. ME can not afford to lose their allies they have.. specially KSA who will safe their Princy Arse from ISIS and Iran ? haha

I'm opposed to anti-Arab sentiment but its not anti-Arab to call out Kuwait since they do indeed have a 'freeze', or ban, on Pakistanis since 2005. And it has been renewed this year. The newspaper contextualised the issue in terms of 'Muslim ban'.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador is fudging facts.
