What's new

No Indian writer to take part in Int'l Urdu Conference in Pakistan

No harm as Indians can't speak or write Urdu. Urdu only belongs to Pakistanis.
Urdu is majorly derived from Hindi itself.

I wonder what makes you say Indians cannot speak a language that is made in India and has its rooting in other Indian language.

Isn't it the other way? Hindi from Urdu?
Urdu was once known as Hindi/Hindvi (among other names), but current Indian Hindi is derived from Urdu and heavily Sanskritized.
No.
Urdu is derived from Hindi.

.
No.
Urdu is derived from Hindi.

No it's not.

Urdu has 800 years of history. Indian Hindi is a new language - an attempt to go back to Sanskrit.

An analogy would be "Old-Germanizing" English and getting rid of all French and non-German influences from it - that would be a new language in its own right.

If Hindi is not new, name one Hindi poet from past! You can't, because there wasn't any.

Simply parroting a line does not mean anything.

You didn't read the quoted message below that, low IQ.

Ok, if Urdu came from Hindi - then Hindi must be an older language.

You sound like you read more history than me - so name a Hindi poet from the past, at least 1!!

Hindi itself is derived from Sanskrit and Prakrit.
Read about how old these two languages are. Urdu uses a heavy mix of the two.

I knew you couldn't name a single one.

Your argument is Hindi existed before Urdu, which is 800 years old.

How come no famous poet for a language that's older than a 800 year old language? lol.

As someone said, nobody speaks urdu in india.pakistan can take care of it.

Urdu has nothing to do with sanskrit,it is the language of Central Asians of Turks,Persians, arabs and a mix of all this. It happened to be spoken by mughals and other nawabs whose descendants now live in pakistan,so it is a pakistani language. Pakistan has to and does take care of it very well.

Urdu was born when the Invaders used arabic script to write the local lingo and taught that script in the local schools.

Till 1947 the arabic script and persian was taught in schools all over India. That is how urdu was born.
