New York city on Hijab

I dont care if I see your hand or not.. but in some of the areas I have lived I would prefer to see faces of people that go about... at least the camera should be able to recognize them if they decide to stab me.
Hope I was able to cover some misconceptions.

^ The very fact that you have to copy-paste such long piece of writing to somehow 'prove' that Allah has "ordered" women for niqab shows that Allah did not order women to niqab :)

If I ask you, show me where Allah ordered to worship only one God? You'll just write one, clear, unambiguous verse from Qur'an to prove your point without any doubt.

But here, even 'thousand' words...picking verses here and there,,and giving them your own meaning will still not get your a "clear" command from Allah where he 'orders' women to do niqab

Please Zarvan...theek ho ja tu ;)

Depends on what you mean 'curves'? Body shame is apparent even in Shalwar Kameez....but yeah, dress shouldn't be extra tight...

Some people have a fat women fetish, I don't want to take names so as to start an ethnic problem ;)
So basically boobs which are clearly mentioned are a no no, rest is interpretation and understanding. I think even s=hair is too much as it isn't clearly mentioned.

Except face covering bit, rest is okey....

So what you're saying is the bully-ish attitude is also okay?
Idgaf what you wear, hijab/niqab or bikini as long as you don't look down on the other. Personally I prefer something in the middle but just mind your own bs and the world would be a better place.

misconception about what? This video does not show anything that we dont know... and probably edited out those who opposed.

what bullish attitude are you talking about.

Hijab is no problem, burqa on the other hand is, hijab kinda looks cute on girls

.
That is fine. But then you need to stay where Shariah is in place. New York does not recognize the supremacy of Islamic law over their law. So either you follow their rules or suffer. Simple.
Sorry Sir women have to follow order of ALLAH where ever they are if west has problem is their problem we give a dam What ALLAH has ordered would be followed where ever we are

Burqa is not appropriate. Hijab is fine IMO. But then in hotter climates, wearing Hijab all the time is not recommended. In fact wearing any cap or head covering for extended periods creates problems. But otherwise Hijab is ok - especially the way Iranians wear in Iran. :)

Like a bully, you know many hijabis (not all) actually look down on their peers who don't follow their dress code, I know some girls who just started wearing it so their friends would accept them. It's kind of sad really.

ah ok.. peer pressure works only in schools. Once in college of after college, its usually own reason.

My perspective makes the world look different, for now I can only talk about things I see which are limited to my own age group
I see more and more girls start wearing hijab like their mothers never did, which is kind of...

fair enough... in my observation... people change their mind quite often when they are out of school... those who you think are jerks in school often become quite nice guys in college and after.

As long as these are not changed for life, we should not be too worried about it.

then it defeats the purpose doesn't it?

btw the modern hijab is more a of arab cultural concept rather then Islamic one, it was invented in medevil times probably in places like Syria/Lebenon. Arabian women always wore Burkha/Abaya even before Islam, Hijab/Burkha are more cultural, Islam asks for modesty, which can be defined in different ways

It certainly does, the whole point of wearing it is to not attract attention but you will get stares when you wear hijab/burqa in western countries
