my question was what would his watch show...simple. And yes, it is a mind boggling concept, I won't even being to claim that I am in full grasp of it myself. I'm no physicist and these things boggle minds of the best of physicists out there...
Leave watch, let me explain u another way. If twins are born on earth. After birth one remains on earth n another goes in a spaceship, that can instantly accelerate to 80℅ speed of light. It travels to a place 4 light years away and comes back.
Now from earth, that will take 5 years to reach and 5 years to return. The child on earth will be 10 yrs old when the spaceship returns. From spaceship perspective it would take 3 years for each side and thus would see return after 6 years. The other twin on the spaceship when returns will be 6 years old. Two twins born at same time will be 4 years apart in age. Hope u understand now.
