New 'super-Earth' discovered by scientists

my question was what would his watch show...simple. And yes, it is a mind boggling concept, I won't even being to claim that I am in full grasp of it myself. I'm no physicist and these things boggle minds of the best of physicists out there...

Leave watch, let me explain u another way. If twins are born on earth. After birth one remains on earth n another goes in a spaceship, that can instantly accelerate to 80℅ speed of light. It travels to a place 4 light years away and comes back.
Now from earth, that will take 5 years to reach and 5 years to return. The child on earth will be 10 yrs old when the spaceship returns. From spaceship perspective it would take 3 years for each side and thus would see return after 6 years. The other twin on the spaceship when returns will be 6 years old. Two twins born at same time will be 4 years apart in age. Hope u understand now.

I believe there will never be another earth. This is all we got and it is beyond our capabilities to create or find or if found reach such a place for habitation. Allah has created us and the earth to complement us. Once we are gone the Earth will cease to exist aswell. All by Allah's will!

oh yar I get it bhai meray, sab theek hay. But please try to think about what my very ORIGINAL point was...all that I am trying to convince people off that it would be far FAR more worth while to spend all this time and money on making THIS planet a better place. please visit the original thread that I mentioned above to see the main point I'm trying to make.

Either make a philosophical point or a scientific one. If u make a scientific point, make sure its a known scientific fact or backed by a theory. Anyone can agree or disagee on philosophical points but science relies on proofs and experiments. also what we described in an established fact proven almost 100 years ago. GPS satellite clocks are resynchronized with earth clocks after intervals to adjust for time dialation.

would I NOT be worth making THIS planet a better place to live given the time and resources required to reach 50% the speed of light? PLENTY of research that can be done to make THIS planet a better place instead of going waaay out there in the far flung parts of our galaxy let alone OTHER galaxies with miniscule chances of success...that has been my point in both of these threads.
My point is simple. At one point of time, people thought radioactivity is just an oddity. It has no use. Heck people even argued in scientific discourse for that. They said no useful energy could be extracted. And then, someone thought of chain reaction and changed the world. There was something called Chicago Pile moment and rest is history.

Whatever you are saying by what you know right now. Things change and so does your understanding, what is useless right now suddenly becomes extremely useful. And thats what I said back in that thread as well. Putting a reasonable amount of resource in simply gathering understanding of universe is not only useful but our very existence may depend up on. A mere 5-10% of any nations TOTAL resources should be invested in simply understanding the nature and developing ways to understand and exploit it better.
