Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) Japan has appointed Morikazu Chokki as the new president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand).
Chokki replaces Masahiko Ueki, who took up office in December 2013. Ueki has been reassigned back to head MMC's Overseas Operations Group Headquarters B in Japan.
The reshuffling is expected to take MMTh to another level of success as one of MMC's major subsidiaries, the company said in a statement.
Chokki has been working for MMC and Mitsubishi Corporation for the past 36 years. His career started with an automotive export business to Thailand and continued in a variety of fields including assignments in foreign countries such as Thailand and Malaysia.
He was previously the head officer of MMC's Headquarters Overseas Operations Group Headquarters B. In Thailand, he is most known for leading Tripetch Isuzu Sales (TIS), the Isuzu distributor.
Chokki was assigned to work at TIS in Thailand three times - as deputy general manager in charge of the Sales Group from July 1984 to July 1990, as senior vice president in charge of the Sales and Service Groups from April 1997 to December 2002, and as president from December 2006 to February 2009.
