It is clearly no dog-fighter. Since the J-10 relies on Russian radar imports, it is fair to say they are nowhere close to an AESA radar. Without that, the only thing it could do well and still remain passive are strike missions. It is like a 40t+ plane and with two poor AL-31 clones, it won't be super cruising. It is bigger than an F-111 and will probably hold a similar role.

Russians need to con out some money with their T-50 and Su-35 so they spread these lies. The Russian electronics industry has gone down so much their avionic really blows. They can't even make a decent cellphone what do you expect.
