"Never Trust What People in Indian Business Say": Bloomberg

It's people like you; ignorant, uneducated, backward, selfish, me, me, me types that turn a blind eye to such a tragedy. You're shameless. Grow a bit of conscience for once.

4,500 x 365 days = 1 year = 1.64 Million deaths.
You are right, how sickening incredible India. I am lost for words. This man is incredibly evil:-

. . .
There is good trade between India, BD, Nepal and BD. Since the land and sea borders between India, BD and Myanmar were resolved and signed, there has been movement on many proposals including free movement of vehicles among other aspects.

But I don't think any trade block is possible right now even between India, BD, Bhutan and Nepal, let alone one including Pakistan. The new Indian Govt. is severely protectionist. They have increased import tariffs across the board. And they have abstained from joining RCEP. This is also the reason why India is failing to conclude FTAs with country after country.

Ideally speaking though, yes, a trade bloc would make a lot of sense, particularly as the South Asian economies are mostly complementary to each other.

You have yet to see how the ramifications of this crisis play out in different spheres. If you think China has come out of this as a winner, you are mistaken.
Hey anything can happen man, cow might fly and pigs might bark. Who knows. What I know now is India is fcked big time with millions of walking dead starving even with 2000 cases, your lockdown damage is even worse than what happen in China.

.
There are two criticisms of BJP's handling of the economy:
  1. Demonetization was a disastrous shock to the system and was entirely avoidable.
  2. GST implementation was botched. It's better now after nearly 4 years.

You forgot crony capitalism. When PSU and other private entities are bankrupted for the benefit of a few.

.
@BlackMamba93 Keep your head buried and blame China for your own ignorance.

My head certainly isn't buried, your is. You will read whatever you want to read. Here is the exact quote from the article

"How many children are we talking about in the case of India? More children under the age of five die in India than anywhere else in the world. A recent estimate puts this figure at over 1.5 million children a year—over 4,500 child deaths a day. A third of these could have been averted if children did not go to bed hungry night after night. "

1.5 million is the total deaths under 5 due to ALL CAUSES. 1/3rd of these are due to hunger, so around 500,000, which is even lower than was what i said earlier. You have a habit of failing, keep at it

PSUs are one the biggest drains on the economy. Good riddance. IMF and economic reformists have repeatedly asked Indian governments to shut these down, but they have been too slow. In fact, only a few PSUs have been shut down till now, the major ones still stand, hopefully not for long.

Also, which private entities have been bankrupted? Can only think of Vodafone - Idea, you do have a point there. Some of his policies have benefited reliance disproportionately.

Do you need glasses? You're AGAIN rabbiting on about OLD data! HELLO @BlackMamba93 is anybody home? I will repeat again for your pea-size brain; it's 4,500 deaths PER DAY of children UNDER 5 due to HUNGER/MALNUTRITION. Indian Supreme Court was given these figures in September 2019. Indian Supreme Court told the GOIdiots to do something about it in October 2019!

You should be at a loss of words. Not because of your ignorance, it is understandable for Pakistanis to attribute everything wrong in the world to Modi, but because of your lack of interest in making the effort to learn more.

Modi was elected in 2014. The NHFS being quoted is from 2015-16.

When the next NHFS is conducted in 2021-22, the result of Modi's policies and execution ability will come to fore. So far, his social policies and governance delivery have been widely acknowledged to be as very good.
In his first term (5 years) he has:
  1. Opened over 290 million bank accounts for the poorest Indians. Resulting in a dramatic jump in India's overall financial inclusion.
  2. Built nearly 100 million toilets, resulting in a massive jump in reducing open defecation and its resultant health and environmental benefits
  3. Increased rural electrification, nearly 100% of villages electrified in India. Caveat - this does not mean 100% houses electrified. This program was meant to bring electricity infrastructure to the village level. The program to bring electricity to each house in each village is on now
  4. Started crediting subsidies directly in people's bank accounts (which even the poorest now have thanks to point#1) which has reduced low-level corruption
  5. LPG cooking connections to over 80 million families who were relying on kerosene lamps, cow dung cakes or firewood for cooking resulting in major health costs
Please let those numbers sink in.

There is much much more work to be done in a poor economy like India but I can definitively say his last 5 years have led to more social development and real change than 20 years under previous governments.

And all this conspiracy theory that China or USA spread this virus intentionally

I'm not saying it was intentional, but China is at fault. This is the 5th virus coming out of there and they pretend it's no big deal. Even now, their wet markets have re-opened, setting the timer for the next pandemic and their government and citizens are busy asking us to be thankful because they are SELLING us masks and ventilators. Well **** them, they can shove their ventilator pipes up theirs. We wouldn't need these had they not eaten bats and pangolins in order to get RAW SEXUAL POWER. Yes, you read that right. Chinese eat these exotic animals because they think it gives them RAW SEXUAL POWER. Not making it up, it is a fact. They think it can also cure erectile dysfunction.

Link? Or again a figment of your vivid imagination. You posted an article without reading it, I quoted the exact words from the article. 1.5 million deaths due to ALL CAUSES. 1/3rd due to hunger, so 500,000

Hey anything can happen man, cow might fly and pigs might bark. Who knows.
Yes, anything can happen. Which includes political costs for China that will start playing out when this is over.
What I know now is India is fcked big time with millions of walking dead starving even with 2000 cases, your lockdown damage is even worse than what happen in China.
Which makes sense as China's state capacity is much more than India's is.

You forgot crony capitalism. When PSU and other private entities are bankrupted for the benefit of a few.
You will find me a strong supporter of privatization. In fact, I largely blame misdirected socialist policies and its resultant biggest symbol - the PSUs - for being a drain on India's economy. It is high time India gets rid of them. Indian Government manufactures everything from slippers to steel. The taxpayers foot the bill of these PSU's inefficiencies which could go towards changing the lives of those in real need - the poor and destitute.

That said, his policies have benefitted Reliance without a doubt.

Yes, you are right . Buying third grade fake chinese masks and ventilators is no better than drinking cow cola. Both are equally phony solutions to the problem.

So you judge Modi's success by how many toilets he added to India , that must be a new metric created just for incredible India. So 600 million need toilets and Modi supplied 100 million that still leaves a deficit of 500 Million, so it's not a good show of success is it? Even with savings of 164Million by killing off the kids still leaves a huge deficit. So before you insult others you need to check your ignoramus rating and focus on facts than insults.
