There's a major encounter going on between security forces and Naxals near Narayanpatna in Koraput district of Orissa.

Reports say at least 10 Naxals could have been killed in the joint operation by Orissa police and elite anti-Naxal force Greyhounds.

Police say they have found some 12 kit bags and seen marks of the Naxals' bodies dragged away, which indicates heavy casualties.

The Orissa encounter comes just a day after Naxals dealt another deadly blow to the security forces in Chhattisgarh

Many Naxals killed in a major encounter in Orissa

Well done .. Kill em all

Thats good. India has finally stepped into the water now. Since they are terrorists, I don't feel like supporting them but the thought of finding them fighting for their equal rights make me think otherwise, even if for moments.

oh..god who killed them. now the home minister will take action against police and crpf, why they killed innocent naxals. killer indian govt.
naxal have full right to kill every one because they are naxals.

No my friend. The naxalim in its initial stages was truly for fight against injustice and suppression, but as all armed revolutions, has now degenerated into a nobody's war and has actually slipped into the hands of antisocials and anti-national elements.

The fact that they are now forcing 12 to 14-year-old boys and girls to pick up arms will give your a fair idea of their savagery. The adivasis they claim to represent are no longer with them, but are rather hostage to them as there is no administration to protect them. They raid the villages in huge numbers and burn down the houses of poor villagers, kidnap their girls, and force the men to fight for them.

Greyhounds are not CRPF.............

greyhounds are from Andhara Pradesh Police......called after dantewara attack.

Greyhounds got credit of breaking back and face of naxals in Andhara pradesh:partay:

This is what happens when suited and trained ppl are sent to do the jobs..Normal police cannot fight against rocket launchers ,Ak.s insas heavy machine guns etc..

We need special ppl for speacialist jobs

:sniper::sniper::sniper:

Grey hounds are raised as anti naxal squads and they are trained to search and hunt the naxals.
They are the main reason for wiping naxals from Andhra pradesh. These guys can spend 3 or some times more than a week in the jungles during their operation.

well done grey hound and Orissa police...kill those bastards..:sniper: we need more of their dead bodies...no mercy for these creatures.

I always believe that bullet should be the last option to solve any issue. but what i saw in Dantevada.......

I think we should start with Bullet to solve This particulate issue.

i think army is last possible answer for naxals

but if we want that naxals problem never come again so we have to make system batter ..

main reason for naxalism is corrupt system

I remeber a line from my class VIII hindi book.. It meant that if you have the power to destroy, only then you have the capability to forgive. Indian state needs to prove to these guys that it has the power to destroy them. Only then they will realize the need to come into the mainstream. Thats the time the developmental agendas need to take over.. But 1st and foremost, the writ of the govt needs to be established here

Why is it that the CRPF is repeatedly taking casulties while state police seem to slowly but surely getting the better of Maoists? Could it be related to the CRPFs training and leadership?

This was published on the NDTV article.
