We were locking horns in the past, against this Damocrazy, at those times , I was the most hated poster on PDF by PTIANS, just because I was the only opposing force on PDF against this Damocrazy?
But now you can see, why I was against it?
This system is for the elites ,by the elites?
It doesn't give the right to common , pakistanI even to speak up against it?
Even the master intellectuals like IMRAN & Moied/fawad/qadri were not allowed to express Thier views?

Let's get something very clear.

Sane PTI oppossers on here like @Jungibaaz and @Chak Bamu don't support the current government.

Their arguments revolve around IK being weak, IK's timing being very wrong to raise this issue, and IK stumbling with this march.

As far as I am concerned ARY, Dunya, Express have made it a policy to support 'pitch invasion' by a few thousand people to show it as a matter of major significance, with an odd dissenting or criticizing note here and there.

If any of you criticizing government pressure came out against 'unofficial' censoring of Geo, I would respect your view for being principled. If not, then do not expect me to cheer you.

BTW, why does anyone consider me a spokesperson for government? How does criticizing PTI for politics of confrontation equate partisanship for PML-N?

This attitude of PTI people 'Either you are with us, or against us' really sucks. If y'all can not put up with valid criticism, then how can you find fault with the other side for not putting up with criticism and acting against it?

If a news channel becomes a propaganda piece for the government does it deserve any respect?

Watch GEO when IK does his speech and see if they air it in full . Most of the time they don't bother and only chose selective quotes afterwards.

1. Geo criticized Musharraf very heavily, in fact took a lead during 2006-7. It was put off air for many months. I know the criticism leveled at Geo, but much of it is done without due consideration.

2. Whether or not one acknowledges it, there is a behind-the-scenes tension between Civilian government and Army-backed Establishment. Geo's editorial policy is squarely anti-Establishment. That is why Hamid Mir was hit via contractors, that is why Geo/Jang group has been targeted for the last many months, despite civilian government support being extended to it. Most people miss that and simply think that Geo is pro-government. Its not quite like that. However, I am not going to defend overt bias being displayed by Geo. By the same logic, ARY, Express, and Dunya ought to be questioned for their bias as well.

So, yeah Geo is biased - but then are the others I listed above unbiased? I have read somebody's comment above in that Geo should be blamed for not showing IK and TuQ speeches. Why? What is new about those speeches? Anything else to watch on TV is a welcome relief from the boring and tiring and sometimes shameful stuff from Islamabad.

How many of you enjoyed Pakistan-Sri Lanka match? I did, and it was a relief from dharna drama.
