Nawaz Offered Hashmi to Contest on PML(N) Ticket

PTI is a personality-cult of the extreme level--akin to what MQM was starting mid-80's of Altaf Hussein. Heck, I too used to carry pics of Altaf Hussein in rallies then--but it didn't take long for me to realize the Fascism in MQM. In case of PTI, it took a while for me to realize the true nature of Imran Khan; perhaps I was in denial. Perhaps I was desperate for a real 'change'. But it is now my considerate opinion that PTI is far worse to Pakistan under the leadership of a clueless Imran Khan. Perhaps IK should take over a backseat and let others to do 'politics' while IK remains the 'inspiration' behind--that could be good for PTI and Pakistan.

BTW, in the current crises, PTI is lucky to have SMQ in their negotiating team: He is a seasoned politician who can decode much the cunningness of Zardari/NS; had it IK, he would have been offered lollypops and made to leave.
All the political parties in Pakistan revolve around certain personalities. PML(N), PPP, ANP, JUI(F), JUI(S) etc. are as much cults as are other parties. You are speaking the truth but half of it, please speak full truth.

To an extent you are correct. However, I don't think in JI there is personality cult--at least not since Maulana Maudodi. In case of PPP, since Benazir Bhutto was killed, there is still dynastic politics but I doubt there is a 'cult' of Zardari. Currently, PTI under Imran Khan manifests the extreme personality cult unmatched by any other political force in Pakistan with the exception of PAT under TuQ; even MQM cadre has gotten over the cult of Altaf Hussein.

You're so right. But calling him a personality cult is an understatement. People have actually made him something of a messiah-cum-demigod. What's even more worrying is that some people consider him an intellectual genius, when he is known for his wit(a lack of rather). Altaf bhai is also a personality cult, but not on his level. Heck, a Lebanese guy here in Australia even asked me about Imran Khan, saying he had heard so much about him from some Pakistani friend of his. Like this pure obsession is wrong on so many levels.

Hence I did not name JI.

Please compare PTI to PPP of Bhutto's time. PTI is in its political infancy and needs a personality to keep it together until it matures into a true political party, at which point, it will survive without an icon.

It is not a political party , if its leaders don't change every 4 years (Non family members)

Probably true.

However, what is keeping Pakistan a united nation? the "holy constitution". The sindhis hate Punjabis, Balochis hate everyone else while Pathans are confused between taliban, ANP and Imran.

so yes hate it or like it constitution is what keeps Pakitan united.upholding it is important first step to building a progressive nation.

Going by your own words, just imagine what would happen if the very same constitution is implemented on ground and every single citizen gets his rights at his door steps be it Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, Pathan.

Then again give me one good reason why would they implement it?

sadly the constitution is not implemented in pakistan, However, instead of breaking it try and pass bills to amend it. Evolve it not revolutionize it.

Imran might be asking for very very right things however, his method is the new NZARIYE-ZAROORAT, it is a door to doom. Anyone with any amount of following can come park his chariot at the doors of parliament and demand change.

Keep this Constitution intact safeguard it and make necessary amendments to it. we are in no need for revolution but to evolve.

A nation is always in the hands of politicians, politicians who are supposed to be it's guardians, who should be thinking and working out policies to make sure that after them this nation is run by capable and competent people and does not fall in the hands of wrong leadership and incompetent people.

Yes, in Pakistan they are doing all their best to implement the above and showing that their sons and daughters and immediate family members and friends are the only best they could find among 180+ million Pakistanis.

I am not with any party, I like many Pakistanis just want the implementation of the constitution in it's full and true meaning. If not, no one cares what a constitution says and what it is about.

67 years and counting, tell me how much percentage of the constitution is being implemented in it's true meaning.

67 years is not a short time, look where is Germany from 1947 till now, where is japan from 1947 till now i can give many more examples but it is not of any use. even after 20 years from now Pakistan will be what it is in now, unless if a miracle happens and things start to change.

So we should just cling to the constitution and wait for a miracle to happen even if it be after 50 years from now, right?

How many articles of the constitution are being clearly and openly being violated by the politicians just by sitting in the parliament?

Had they learnt anything from their past they would have started with strict implementation of the articles of constitution on themselves first of all, articles relating to who can and cannot be in the parliament.

Will the current lot of politicians pass a bill limiting the term of PM and president to 2 terms? Go me one good reason why should they.

If he comes back in PML-N he will be more than welcomed. A politician of his stature is a treasure for any political party.

If he decides to come back PML-N would get more stronger. :)

firstly our constitution is just 40 years old. Secondly in those 40 years we have had 20 years of Military dictatorship.

It is sad that in our history for the first time a government completed its complete 5 years.

So how can anyone implement anything in such less time. let atleast 20 years of proper democracy happen so it can evolve and see the fruits of constitution.

the problem is Pakistanis never respected the constitution yet wish it to do alot for them. Similarly Pakistanis hardly do anything for the nation and then blame the nation for all evils.

from following road signs to working in jobs are nation loves 'Jugarh" (a shortcut)

respect the constitution first then ask for it to bare fruit

He is still elected President of PTI, so NS offering him PMLN ticket is kinda silly... i am of the view that he will contest election as an independent candidate if we decides to contest.. it will be interesting to see who is pitched against him by PMLN & PTI, i think PTI will bring someone against him to teach him a lesson, will be interesting to see who that might be someone from SMQ tribe..in any case my wild guess is PMLN might sit back & support him...
