You have to understand that these people have had 40 years to corrupt the system. You can't fix it in 6 months. Legally speaking you need to undo laws that allow corruption and make new laws that punish it.

I always complain about the Pakistani deep state being deep asleep but I also accept the fact that the deep state alone can only do so much. If a society is willingly tolerating such treacherous scum then expecting sudden recovery is foolish. But then again it is the chicken or the egg thing: Do you go the long route and eradicate such corrupt political DNA completely and then rebuild the system, or you work within the system to remove such cancer and then tweak the settings of the system itself. Or, would it be better to do both at the same time?

One thing is for sure though, the louder they scream the harder they're being hit.

It really is a matter of bringing these few families to justice. You'd be surprise how fast an average citizen of a state will give up crime if he/she knew their neck was on the line.
