NATO says China presents ‘systemic’ challenges

.
NATO will focus on Russia while it will be an Indo-Pacific alliance to contain China. The US will have to get serious in offering nations an alternative set of economic opportunities to get them to at least not support the rise of China. Even if the US offers a better economic deal, through daming up all the rivers from India to Vietnam, China will hold that Trump card over the nations of south and Southeast Asia.

Military parity in some fields (expect China to field a nuclear force and carrier force similar to those at least dedicated towards China), but its economic/technological supremacy that will rule the day.

.
NATO is useless..

Only China vs US only.

Between NATO, there are massive conflict between Germany, Italy, France, UK with regards to China.

In Asia, south Korea hate Japan more than anything. If China ask south Korea for alliance for an invasion against Japan. They will not even hesitate.

Is there an option to ban someone or at least give warning for posting idiotic stuff?

The United States is in a dilemma. If the United States retreats from the rest of the world and only deals with China, it will also not be able to maintain global hegemony. Other countries will continue to put forward new demands on the United States to challenge the bottom line of the United States. Simply put, the United States is not strong enough to maintain global hegemony. The so-called allies are clear about this.

I don't know what reality you lives in but the US is not going away anytime soon. The recent statement & action by the united states & her allies proves other wise. And it is not only US treaty allies that china have to contend with but other countries like India & others that pretty much agrees with US rule of law.

Why would U.S. get rid of the single most important tool it’s in box that gives it supreme power? No sane long term strategic thinker would even think about it’s dismantling, had China been in U.S. position leading a NATO like alliance even China wouldn’t do something as stupid as that.

Those who say China or U.S. days are numbered are blind to last 70 years of history. Great Powers don’t fight in this age directly, not yet at least, it’s their smaller ally’s that become the battle field.

Hence, why I’ve always felt those nations giving space to Great Powers (bases, etc) put themselves in the worst position and paint a bulls eye on their front and back. You become involved in the Great Game with no real understanding a fickle candle flame that’ll be blown out.

Those smaller nations are better of strategizing and getting the bigger powers position to fight themselves, and stay on the side line.

Naturally not. :sarcastic:

And you are absolutely right.

As I explained NATO is just an instrument of USA hegemony and coherently argued, its irrelevancy is questionable today. So USA will continue to hang on to it until it can't afford to do so.

Yes. The metaphor is true, like an old Arab saying, it will be like a candle wick before the end.
But it refers to USA as a dominant power and its supremacism.

The crack is already showing from within EU member states based on the recent G7 summit which is basically a flop.

We will waited for Putin-Biden meet today and its communiques. :coffee:

Even if a fraction of US deals manages to materialize, the G7 version of the BRI will still be miles ahead of china in transparency & technologies. Most of the chinese investment here have been cancelled because of corruption being the major one.

It will force China to up its game. Small countries win out when larger countries compete economically. China will probably revamp all its projects with better terms, if they want to stay competitive.

Russia has invited China to form a military alliance against the United States many years ago.
Lie, Putin said clearly he will just sit and watch . If CN is defeated, Russia may annex more CN's lands after Vladivostok aka Manchurian lands :pop:.

-----------------

According to media report, Putin was asked during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum last week about his view of the China-U.S. trade dispute. He answered by citing a Chinese proverb which said "when tigers fight, the smart monkey sits aside and waits to see who wins."

Lol. Looks like some got trigger by facts. I am east asian. I don't need some who is outsider to try paint fàlse news. You can go ask any south Korean about their r/s with Japan. South Korea will never forget they colonized by Japan , women used as sex slave and resources exploited.

And the arrogant Japanese yet to make sincere apology to SK.

In 2005 G7 summit in Scotland, similar proposals were made as regards to G7 investment into these projects but like all summits, it turned to be just another grandiose photo session.

:sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:

This one is no different and in a time when the G7 are still trying to recover from the pandemic, the probability is almost nil.
