National Electricity Grid Failure: Complete chaos now !

Ok this is a possible reason:
The line that was coming from India had a fault. Because of fault there occurred high voltage. To get rid rid of that high voltage, the system disconnected that portion. By this, there creates a 500 MW sudden gap of power in National grid which was coming from India.

But the national demand was high that time. So more pressure was created on generators. And the frequency started to reduce. When the frequency reduced at certain level those generators also started to shut down. For this load, demand and frequency all generators started to shut down at a chain effect.

Its naturally controlled by National Load Despatch Centre. In a normal condition, they maintain this by load shedding.
But it happened so quickly this time, that NLDC couldn't control it.

If shut down, a normal power plant takes 4-5 hours to start again. For steam plants 10-12 hours.

Yesterday, it happened two times. 11.30 am and 5 pm. It collapsed again after starting 500-700 MW. Its an accident.
Its totally automatic system now, but the people at command maybe didnt do their work properly. We will know more about this by further investigation.
Not all grid failures occur bcuz of fault in line......

And if the fault had happened here....then grid failure would have happened here.....
so ur assumption is flawed....

The fault necessarily wouldn't occur on Indian side, if the line is coming from India.

At the end, it enters into BD. And BD substation controls it.

What do you think is a fault???

First, Eastern grid frequency and system voltage was absolutely normal yesterday. No regional grid failure occurred which could have disrupted the supply to Bangladesh. Secondly, sudden load rejection or generation failure is very usual incidents in power system which is designed to withstand these power swings. It is absurd that national grid of an entire country will collapse due to a mere interruption in just 500MW supply. It means whenever a powerplant of that capacity trips in your country, entire grid will fail again. Isn't it?

It could be anything. I have no access to the detail. I know a high official of PGCB. He can may be help later.

There must be some problems with NLDC and PGCB. It shouldn't trip like this again.

Oh, I'm far from an Islamist.

Rest of your post were all verbal gibberish.
Yes, I am sure this:
Power Grid Corporation has already clarified that the problem originated in Bangladesh and the automated 'trip' command was issued by the Bangladeshi substation. The command is issued automatically when the substation senses problems - to protect the line.
was all gibberish. The official quotes of PowerGrid corp in the last few pages of this thread are also gibberish. The articles in Bangladeshi paper(also posted in this thread) clarifying that this blackout had nothing to do with India is also gibberish.

What does it take for Bangladeshis to take some technical lessons?

Yes, I am sure this:

Double fail...

What part of this sentence did you have trouble understanding?

The power generation was disrupted with the national grid failure after the Bangladesh-India power interconnection line at Bheramara had tripped.
Power supply resumes partially | Indo-Bangla power interconnection line trips leading to countrywide chain reaction

That being said, we already knew that.

And if you bothered to read with a little care, my post wasn't even directed at India either.

The technical data available so far is quite insufficient to have a detailed analysis. But the way, before any possible reason could appear, a part of your media started blaming India for this incident was very unfortunate to watch. Hope the real reason (sabotage highly unlikely) comes out soon and put a brake on the conspiracy theories. It was an irritating experience here.

Awami League provided india access to Bangladesh national power grid. Now india tested how to disable power supply in entire Bangladesh without using a single bomb. This goes to show the gullible class who often harp about shiny weapons that contemporary defense of a country expands far beyond military.

Why not crying for incapability of BD people to handle a simple fault in a single transmission line

Its not about "BD people". BD people had managed electricity grid for last 43 years without disabling entire national grid. It is about india backed Awami League regime provided india access to Bangladesh electricity grid. Now india tested its weapon how to disable Bangladesh electricity.
