You know folks in this entire saga my greatest disappointment is with the educated class. The people who have the means and resources to know better. Their knee jerk animus towards IK and what he and his party represents befuddles me.

On one end you have an establishment managed political structure, that has run the country more or less since its inception.
It has failed miserably. In the process it has negatively impacted the armed forces themselves, bringing e a level of civilian interaction with the uniformed culture that should never occur. Modern militaries need to be kept at distance from civilian matters. In Pakistan the opposite has happened and with each passing cycle the level of professionalism and capability erodes.

This entire system has given to a corrupted and hollowed out judiciary. Every judge is leverage-able. Historically that used to be the case in the lower courts and by the time you hit the High Courts more or less you had a capable and somewhat honest judiciary. That no longer holds true.

Given the on and off again civilian dispensation has resulted in an immature and weak political class that is regionalized, corrupt and totally sold to the highest bidder.

And finally the bureaucracy which along with the judiciary I feel are centrally responsible for where Pakistan is - is beyond repair. This British inherited system of bureaucratic process is hollowed out. Completely gone.

That is the Pakistan we have had for 70 years.
On the other hand is IK and PTI. The first party that is truly about the nation and the resources of her people. The only leader and party that openly calls out the corrosion of the system. That is willing to stand up for Pakistan and national interests. That in 3 years even after having the weight of the bureaucracy, the judiciary and the corrupt political class, and eventually the establishment - managed to help us navigate through some of the most tough socio-economic times. That is the least by far, corrupt political party. That talks about a progressive welfare system anchored in our Islamic values. That is giving substance to a national narrative. That is calling out the ills in our society and attempting to fix them. That is for the first time protecting our environment.

And yet we have the "educated class", casting aspersions and invectives on IK and PTI.
Pakistanis, this is a pivotal moment. Either we stand up, get called out, put our name on the list and fight for our nation and our generations to come. Or we will be lost in the annuls of history, as an experiment that never saw its God given and true potential.

THIS IS A FIGHT OF OUR GENERATION. I have lost (as in lost respect) friends and family on this issue which is binary for me. Anyone who does not support the message (note I am not saying IK or PTI), that is being presented, about, justice, honesty, sovereignty, self-reliance, welfare and a moral compass, with a strong national narrative above language, regional, ethno-politics, I feel has either corrupted beyond rapprochement, or lacks the ability to understand the significance of the juncture Pakistan is at.
Like I said it is time for us all to be counted on which side of history we stand on.
