There is no match for Najm Sethi vs Mubashir Luqman...Mubashir Luqman is a cartoon turned into achor person. First he was creating dramas for private TV channels, and trust me lots of TV actors had tons of complaints against him, including the most seniors like Abid Ali or Qavi Khan, due to his utter lack of awareness about professionalism. He is like a professional dog, more you feed him, more he is gonna bark...!!

Their case is not of a steady decline,it's a steep decline ,considering that it just was the last decade that their reins were let go of.This applies to most of the TV channels in our media & there purposeless infotainment.

You as a viewer can actually feel your IQ level dropping down a comfortable extent if you (by a mistake) make up your mind to see though their programs.For the sake of some airtime ratings they are promoting a culture of self hatred & negativity.Their most senior and experienced guys have earned the place on their channel networks by showing off the tricks that how conveniently they can sell their lies.
They love their media trials and most of them are themselves as crooked as a bag of snakes.

GoP must not take any sides.They must not take the flute away from the snake charmer Mr.PEMRA. Instead they should back the independent authority and must ensure the independence of PEMRA so, that they can be more effective in controlling the inexcusable antics and punish the herd of black sheep i-e proudly rather shamelessly roaming around in each and every level of our media circles.
A solid media policy is the need of time.

Any of the Government can do.Corrupt/ Incorruptible one.
A step in the right direction is what that will dictate the terms.

(We have seen all sort of regimes, all were a mix of some good and bad.)
But unless there is no voice ,there is no action.In this case & in this due period the Media has itself exposed it's true face.
GoP will not only be reforming the electronic media ,but also indirectly making themselves accountable in front of a moral ,logical and factual criticism that just couldn't be brushed under the carpet.Because the viewer understands that it's not for the sake of publicity or a ping pong blame game , but is exactly something that matters.
The media of today is nothing close to it's actual goal.It has very well diverted from it path long ago.It's like the aim is to make weak and feeble minded emotional and once they get their claws in, it's all about playing with their sentiments.Quality isn't the aim here.Jo kisi tarha bik jaye wo hee acha hae.

Suggestion:
May be open some media schools, where they get their staff trained to be true professionals and then employ them.The channels can afford it.Each media group should individually do such an effort.Perhaps that can bring in some decency and quality in the new lot.

These guys are pathetic and selling Westren Media culture into our society. This slow poisoning is causing our youth to forget our own values, Norms, culture, religion etc. Look at all dramas, commercials, and programs that are being aired and judge by yourself. All this trend was started by Geo and most on the networks are following that same trend.

Najam Sethi put lots of things in his resume. He is a successful person as compared to his counterparts in the third world countries. He took all the opportunities available to him to reach the highest level. He is also an example of a successful person.

The rest of the people should also follow his footsteps and try to avail all the opportunities available to them.

By the way, other top influential people are also not saints. When you achieve success, lots of people turned against you.

He didn't get anything illegal. Whatever he got is legal, only thing is, he used all the available opportunities and turned them for his success.
