NADRA names Dir resident as President Barack Obama

DIR: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has given a resident of Dir, Barack Hussein, name of United States President Barack Obama, ARY News reported on Monday.

Barack Hussein said this feat of NADRA had put him into trouble. He said due to his name on his national identity card his name was written Barack Obama instead of Barack Hussein in official documents as well.

The government had on May 25 ordered Nadra to re-verify the identity cards of all citizens across the country.

Addressing a meeting of Nadra officials, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had clarified that Nadra and corruption could not go together for it will defame the country.

The decision was taken in the wake of Taliban supremo Mullah Akhtar Mansour’s death in a US drone strike on May 21, he carried a fake CNIC in the name of Wali Muhammad.

Idaron mein curreption nahi tamasha ho raha hai... and when you talk to officers of these Gov departments they act like they own the world..
its a shame there is no standard in any gov sector.

I think it is a good beginning. May be it is an attempt by NADRA to get even with uncle sam after the F-16 fiasco ....or may be it is even bigger plan...it would interesting to see if other presidents, prime minister and kings can also be found in Pakistan
