NA-122 Lahore Election Updates - Far Reaching Effects on Pak Politics

There are tremendous reasons why this Lahore Election has become Do and Die for both PTI & PMLN and has mass effect on future Pakistan Politics of Pakistan. This is turned into a personal affair between NS & IK. It has become an emotional affair between the two parties, like panipat battle 4. This election is said to be the rehearsal for 2018 election will PTI come in power or PMLN will remain and get re-elected in 2018 again.

Also PMLN wins, will tell loud and clear....we never rigged any elections....we won square and free / fair in 2013 elections, if PTI wins they will make a big statement, that they will come loud saying election was not free and fair, PTI might also ask for mid-term election too.

Also, PMLN if looses will have to revive its Pakistan strategy until 2018, it will have to elect new National Assembly speaker replacing Ayaz Sadiq....a PMLN Lahore loss...a moral and massive political backstep.

Highest ever money has been spend on it.

These are some of the reasons cited...why NA122 has become so important...ultimately the local Mps, Aleem Khan and Ayaz Saddiq own healthcare, education, reforms, development of the constituency will decide the outcome.
He's downplaying the expected loss that will come later tonight. Pretty much in line with what PTI supporters are saying on social media.

Would have been nice for him to not be so openly biased in the first place so that he wouldn't have needed to backtrack now.

fake or real, these tactics are not alien to PMLN. they have used police to influence people. this is no surprise if true.
Real. 'They have even forced people to vote for them, if they don't they will make their lives a living hell.' Rauf Klasra
Had it been some other candidate from PTI, PML-N would have ensured that he was benched on gun point. Not to long ago, another one of PTI's candidate for local elections was forced on gunpoint by Punjab Police to withdraw his nomination papers and allow the PML-N candidate to win unopposed. Easier said than done fighting an election against PML-N and that too in Lahore.

Overall, i think the dynamics have shifted in favor of PML-N after the Federal Ministers campaigned massively and promised billions of rupees in aid or developmental projects. People know that at the end of the day, it is PML-N that can get their problems solved as long as they hold the Provincial Government and not Aleem Khan. UC Candidates from PML-N have been very active, and have solved a lot of people's issues. This should tilt the balance in PML-N's favour by a good margin.

But, 80% of the work will have to be done tomorrow, and that is getting the voters out and getting them to the polling booths. But a good show by PTI, they have staked a heavy claim in Lahore, in the next elections PML-N will not automatically clean sweep Lahore and by no means sweep Punjab like they did in 2013.
Good analysis. PMLN has made good use of being in power. Ads were a nice touch, this is their strong hold, they should win it.
What if PTI lose today....Dhandhli?:cray:
Can't say that, it will degrade them.

Looks like PMLN has a lot to lose, close call.

. .
Looks like a very close call. A fine contest it seems... Not easy to challenge PMLN stronghold especially NA122 as many elder folk believed that PMLN will never let this seat go.

barely teb percent so the game is still on... It starts to become clearer at around 50 or 60

I have never witnessed such exciting contest in a by election. Good on lahories for using their right.. too early to say though.
I think the ruling party will have advantage and N will win

Yes a lot of excitement, due to very nature where election is taking place in Lahore and its aftershocks....ppl there are typical Lahoris loud, clear, tough and very black & white in nature.
